Nah, that's a technique voice actors who do it a lot do. I do it myself. It helps preserve your voice. Keeps the throat wet. Keeping your voice low and calm like he is here keeps it relaxed, which is critical for long term speaking and such
@@mechadoggy looking back at him talking, there are 2 or 3 other reasons he also is talking like that: and these both tie into each other, but they are doing eseentially a podcast i believe right? Awww, love Steve. He has such a calm & soothing voice and was always so entertaining on Blues Clues growing up. Even though he has moved on from Blues Clues now, you can tell this show will ALWAYS hold a very special place in his heart. He’s not embarrassed by the fact that he was on a kids show like Blues Clues even though it’s very different to what he does now. He’s appreciative for the opportunities he got through it and realizes how it really helped lead him to where he is today. Love how he has helped mentor Josh and even made guest appearances in the new reboot too!
Such a great person. He's like Mr. Roger's nephew or something. It's wild to see the fully grown, fully dynamic adult sitting here, and to see that he's a real person with complexity. I hope he keeps creating children's content and touching lives so he can leave behind a legacy of kindness.
No offence but he's kinda a bit too old to come back rn he's a great guy but he already had his fame 😁 it would be weired to have an old guy play a young guy with a happy and goofy mindset
No hard feelings meant to be conveyed at all and we all have personal preferences which should be at the very least understood. I personally can't see blues clues without steve. The new guy may be having fun and steve is fully supportive and honestly good for them and all power to them. But am I the only one who feels this way? I really wouldn't mind seeing this same man as he is today back on the show.
BD Productions actually doing other things was so Steve had something to say, it was basically an excuse! His real for leaving was because he was balding!
Scary Mommy, it's great to have Steve as your guest for this one and I can sense the genuine in him when he was asked about Blues Clues!! I really miss him in Blues Clues as the years passed...
At the time of the beginning of BC I was in Highschool but had a little niece watching it. But I can say I look back and remember sitting with her watching this show many times. This gets me emotional!
I don't get why people tried bagging the new one though, or Joe either. Like they're all great, and some people just have this weird dislike for them cause they're not Joe?
Exactly! People judging Steve for being bald on the show was all in his head! Even if he was bald on Blue’s Clues, he still would’ve been loved by his fans, also no one really cared what he looked like! I personally would not mind him being bald on the show, but it was his choice to leave in 2002 which really upset us all, but Joe did not do horrible! I like all the hosts of the show!
It's so insane how he felt unqualified, like he wasn't fit to host the show while literally everyone loved him and still love him
He really was such a good host!
Blue clues was never the same after Steve left
@@danirose8364 He's just too good!
I had a biggest crush on him!
I watched Kevin in the U.K. version, and I really loved him, but... I can see why people liked Steve too! He seems so nice!
College hit Steve's voice so hard
Ikr, growing up or when he was younger he forced his voice

Why the hell hasn't Steve started a podcast yet?? lol
He's a busy guy.
I'd watch/listen to that.
I definitely wanna watch that
I don't think blue would appreciate the language 😂

And in 2021 Steve talked to all the grownups out there who grew up or had kids that grew up with him and made everyone happy cry. :,)
It ended on “did they have dad issues” and that couldn’t have been more perfect

I wish I can meet him one day to tell him how much has he and Blue impacted my childhood. Oh, I want to go back to those times I really do.
That's so sweet!
@Jennifer Allport I know he didn't die
Steve is chill AF, a reboot would be amazing. He seems like a really great dude.
My baby loves the reboot so much. He likes Steve too, but he hates Joe. He doesn't want anything to do with Joe.
Blues clues is one of the greatest child shows of all time I used to love this show
We loved it too
Why does this dudes voice sound like he could make ASMR Video’s
He probably could!
*you can feel the women there fangirling to our boi Steve*
And he probably gets that like 9 out of every 10 people that know about the show. He's so chill with it, too.
I miss you Steve I wanna see you so bad. For real

Hey wait a minute, that's the original host of Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues! Steve Burns!
But wait a minute, where's Donovan Patton, Joe from Blue's Clues, too?
Steve left the show in 2002 because he wanted to do other things so Joe became the new host until the show ended in 2006

Steve is involved in the new one, so you're insulting him. He helped choose Josh
