One of the most beautiful coastal settlements of Halkidiki is #Afitos. It lies 73 km south of Thessaloniki and has almost 1300 permanent residents.
It has been inhabited since prehistoric times, while Ancient Afitis was an important city of Pallini (as #Kassandra was known at the time) and is mentioned by ancient writers such as Herodotus, Aristotle, Pausanias and others. The steep rock on the sea side helped protect the citadel from attacks, while the Temple of Ammon Zeus and the Sanctuary of Dionysus testify to the fame and prosperity of the area.
Start wandering in this beautiful traditional village. You will find it difficult to decide which is the most admirable corner and which frame to become your favorite one for photo shooting. The typical old stone houses transfer you to another era. Alleys, romance, flowers and tidy yards. Unlimited view to the bay of Toroni.
The church of Agios Dimitrios is located in the main square and is the jewel of the #village. Built in 1859, it has a special architecture and old icons.
The inhabitants of the community persisted in preserving their cultural heritage and highlight Afitos through its culture and history based on respect, aesthetics and decent tourist development.

@@TourismosTravelGuru Yep, will be cool but also difficult to learn greek. Coming from german, english and spanish, will be a challenge :).
@@mydashcam4258 Not really, as the majority of Greek population speaks English (at least). I don't think that language will be a problem. Afterwards, Greek is very similar to Spanish phonetically
@@TourismosTravelGuru Yes, that's true, but the alphabet and grammar are not that easy (as it looks to me now). Anyway, staying and living in a country without knowing (at least, trying to learn it as much as possible) the language, is a lack of respect for the nationals.

I've been the first time in Greece last 2018 in Crete ,2019 in Kurfo and went sgain 2021 in Kurfo since i felt i didn't saw alot of the Iland Greece has Clear blue Türkis Water and it is the famous Country to visit specialy after The whole Lockdown and Pandimic

Cuánto entras en estas playas exóticas de Grecia hay aguas transparentes, arena blanca o dorada y pequeños peces. En las rocas hay Erizos del mar, pulpos y en las aguas profundas existen algas marinas y hasta ballenas y delfines

Good morning, I'm Italo Greco born in 1972, my name is Garbero Grande Yorgos with a grandmother from Patras called Cambassi Elena and with my wife born in 1977, we are without children, we currently live in Turin in Italy and we are not retired, we would like to live in Greece, we want to invest for being able to live in Greece on income from rentals from properties for two people, through an investment useful for 2 people to live all year round for 12 months a year without becoming rich, but living peacefully, without luxury, in a simple way.
We wanted to know from you what investments can make a peaceful and dignified life for two people in Greece in the areas that I list as yours.
The areas that we consider for our project and for this reason I ask you for your professional and honest opinion are Kalamata, Kateríni in Macedonia, and the Halkidiki peninsula.
Not Thessaloniki because it seems too expensive like the islands.
Katerini and Achaea (Patra) regions , or even Argolis in the Peloponnese are the less expensive options.
