No, "take it for what it is" is deceiving. "Spirit filling” does not come as the result of singing. Rather, “Spirit filling” comes first by reading God's Word; singing is the response. . . . Clear as these passages are in declaring that Christian singing is a response to the Word of Christ, and to being filled with the Spirit, it is hard to keep from turning the cause and effect around. Music, with its stimulating power, can too easily be seen as the cause and the “Spirit filling” as the effect. We can only pray for those people who were there, that they genuinely have come to be born again Believers in Christ, and pray that other locations will also come to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
I remain Skeptically Optimistic since the mark that is missing in every great revival is some 'supernatural fingerprint' and have missed point 3 and 4. Honestly what I see them experience is what most of us experience every church service. I think this speaks most of both the leadership and also the kids in this experience. The students are loving it because it is NEW and this is great! I think it is AWESOME that they are EXPERIENCING the presence of God, but if this is the first time they had this, then I am glad they are FINALLY experiencing what many experience regularly.
I’ve never been to a church service that’s lasted nine days, day and night apparently, so far. I think that’s supernatural. I haven’t seen something like this in my lifetime. 🤷♂️ Something’s going on. ✝️

The 1970 Asbury Revival resulted in the "Jesus Revelation" movement. What will today's revival lead to? This could be the beginninng of a new movement by God.
"Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation," - 2 Corinthians 5:18 NKJV
What??? Where did you get that the 70s Asbury revival "resulted" in the Jesus Revolution??? It started on the West Coast in the Hippies. Nothing in Asbury was connected to that movement but if you have other info connecting it, please let us all in.
I dont know if I would call it a "revival" but how can it not be a move of God. I didnt see people running around yelling and screaming, people falling out all over the place like I see in on a regular basis. This was prayer and worship.
Was desiring of God that He would cause this revival fire to spread across your nation n to the nations of the earth n looks like it is taking place.Praise the Lord and Glory to Him in the Highest

If it's real, then the "revival" will spread throughout the world, not locally or regionally. Use discernment and for sure "test the spirits". I've been (off/on) involved in various Calvary Chapel fellowships since the mid-1980's (I'm now approaching 80 years old) and saved before then, I've personally experienced "after glow" times where I had preferred being in church and didn't want to leave because the Holy Spirit was moving so evidently amongst many. That was NOT a revival then, but pure Koinonia fellowship and worship. Perhaps it would good if the post-modernist church would revisit the first century church to learn how to model "church" today after those early group meetings. Church is NOT about a huge megachurch building, or pastors making CEO salaries, selling books and tapes. It's all about Jesus, not men. The Scriptures ae clear that believers are to NOT be followers of men, but Christ alone.
Not to be argumentative, but the Revival that happened on what's called Azusa Street out in California with Wigglesworth and oh I can't remember that one woman's name but she was wild Kathryn Kuhlman that's her name, that wasn't worldwide
That was just made up by you. The word revival is not in the Bible, but we do have Pentecost. It doesnt say pentecost went around the world it happened in an upper room. Im not sure its revival either, but Im not making rules up. Its at the very l least that God showed up for those teens. That is true. If His presence lingered and people could feel it, let it be that then. Everyone squabbling over the word “revival” is irrelevant to what those teens are celebrating in Christ. And the saints should just be celebrating along side them.

You can pray, praise, worship God right where you are! God is Omnipresent He's everywhere! Rivavial means to revive your walk with God! But it's only for those that are saved! A person not saved are dead in their trespasses, they have to be regenerated alive in Christ! It pays to read the Bible yourself & not fall for everything out there!
I would like to know why some Seminaries (particularly one in my area of the nation) has a "Climate Change" adjunct Professor... This seminary ties the Climate Change agenda with "Loving your Neighbor" (Social Justice agenda). Why would a seminary spend time teaching this (or allowing it to be taught) as part of their curriculum and preparation of men and women for ministry? I would love to hear your comment on this Pastor Guzik. Thank you for your program!
10:00 Revival is A MOVE OF GOD'S SPIRIT among the people of God. They are being REVIVED IN THEIR LIFE With God, in their Christian Commitment there is a work of Cleansing. A work of INCREASED DEVOTION ONTO THE LORD. REVIVAL is a MOVE OF GOD'S SPIRIT AMONG THE PEOPLE OF GOD. ...and yes there is a preaching of the Gospel but it's not primarily evangelistic. SPIRITUAL AWAKENING is when there is an OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY Spirit upon a community and then you'd have many coming to CHRIST JESUS And PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL.
The leader of all revivals in history was and is The Holy Spirit. He does it is His way. He will never obey the plans or human templates. That makes the revivals unique. The place of human excellency was and will not be the place of Holy Spirit. I recommend you to read the book of Eddie L. Hyatt - 2000 Years of Charismatic Christianity: A 21st Century Look at Church History from a Pentecostal/Charismatic Prospective. In the history all revivals movements started by The Holy Spirit and ended by the rules, programs, fences and human criticism. We are trained to manufacture revivals with black painted walls, smoke machines, night-club lights, super professional instruments and prominent names forgetting that the One who produces revival is the Lord Jesus through the Holy Spirit. When God chooses the simple and insignificant things to show His glory we don't like, we become suspicious and arrogant. These two factors determined the Holy Spirit to always withdraw, leaving us with the pomp and show of Sunday.
Is this a true revival? Time will tell. I have watched very little footage, but what I saw was a lot of emotionalism, which does not equal revival. Revival comes with the consistent presentation of the Gospel, repentance, confession of sin, and changed lives among Christians. Hopefully, that is happening. Chris Rosebrough watched 16 hours of footage, and stated that the Gospel was not presented. Big problem. And we are now hearing reports that this 'spontaneous revival' was planned weeks in advance. Again, hopefully, lives are being changed. But let's keep in mind that there is no great revival promised in the last days. In fact, just the opposite, the Scripture states that there will be a great apostacy, a falling away. And I believe he mentioned that 2/3 of the attendees were from out of state. People don't need to travel to Asbury to 'experience' revival. If one wants revival it can happen in his own church.
Brother your right on with what you said, i also watched some of the videos and never did hear the Word of God preached, the Bible kjv talks about a familiar Spirit. I know folks who will pay to go hear gospel singing but would never go to a church where they know the Word of God is being preached. The songs i hear them sing never mentions the Blood of Jesus, the cross or that place where Jesus is. Maybe i said too much but i think i am a pretty good fruit inspector.
I think the proof of revival is revealed in the future. Did the repentence become a transformation of lives & the increase of the spread of the gospel? Did it awaken & spread beyond the college campuses? Is it the work of God or the emotions & doing of man. These things should be revealed in the future as impacting long term more than temporary.
Already saw video of a person babbling in "tongues" without interpretation, and nobody telling him to be quiet or leave. So, there's good and bad in this. Asbury's 1970 "revival"started with the pastor saying that he wanted to start the service with testimonies, so that's not the way to start a service, all services need worship and the word of God presented. I also don't know if this meeting started with preaching and teaching of God's word rightly divided. Shouldn't we leave all Lord's Day worship services revived?
Does the Bible prescribe how a service should be started? I believe all those judging this experience are walking in spiritual arrogance. When you get that many people together somebody is going to do something that others don't agree with doctrinally that does make the whole event of the devil. Let's not miss this opportunity to pray for these people whose hearts are open to receive. Let's pray for them and not judge them from the sidelines.
I don't like progressive worship music. Drums and amplified guitars create tension that is not reverent. I don't like the idea of a "worship team" is just doesn't seem right. Is there something wrong with me?
Nothing wrong with your preferences, brother, unless you are looking down on others who have different preferences than yours or saying that “God doesn’t work that way”, like so many are doing.
I'm not seeking comfort, I'm rejecting having a rock concert in place of worshipping God. I hear electrically amplified noises to glorify performers on stage, drowning out the voices of congregation. Most are not even trying to compete with the show.
@Julian Pechacek understood. I still believe that we should be seeking God. You have expressed your opinion, but you have not said what God is saying. We spend a lot of time speaking for God and less time listening to God's heart. I'm concerned that we're missing God with all of our dogmas.
I feel like you are being condescending toward me. That is what so-called "Christians" do when a brother is struggling. Forget it, I don't need to be told to pray more. You don't care how I'm struggling. Please keep your arrogant advice to yourself.
Your forgetting about the healing about people in wheel chairs being healed. Jesus can do as he will. We are nothing but a pile of dust. Only people that are not walking with the Lord will always try to discredit this revival. Peoples intelligence are a mere pebble compared to our Lord and savior.
2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Wake me up when this happens...until then you are in danger of being a self-ascribed prophet....my advice? Talk less pray more.
David Guzik is one of the most genuine believers out there who has do so much work for the kingdom, I don't think this is a personal attack but rather a response to people like me who want to know what does the scripture say about Revival . I actively read his bible commentary which is a collection of commentaries old and new and I highly recommend it, very insightful , lot of history, context, info and discernment. Purely unadulterated stuff but not boring very stimulating and intuitive. Its called ' Enduring word.' I was reading from the commentary in the book of Habbakuk chapter 3 what a revival means in biblical sense. I would highly recommend you let go of anger or frustration from legalistic christians and be open to biblical perspectives. We worship in spirit and truth. The truth is the word of god, it is the letter of things. We need both the letter and the spirit of things to revive the churches. If the spirit is present and the letter is absent it remains an incomplete gospel, not a full gospel. God bless.
These people can spend as much time as they want because they don't have to work, they are self -employed, they don't have any mortgage to pay and they don't need any money to feed their children. If this is a spontaneous gathering they are very musically talented because they know all the songs and they can sing in unison. They seam well revived before the gathering and I wonder if some one was orchestrating. How come they sing songs from Hillsong and Bethel? Smells not legit.

There were many people at this revival. We have no idea who was actually born again, and needed revival. And we have no idea who was there that weren't yet born again being emotionally charged up in the moment, and the music that was specifically made to "set a feeling/mood".
We can only pray for those people who were there, that they genuinely have come to be born again Believers in Christ, and pray that other locations will also come to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
I am concerned and will wait and see......
🤷♂️
Something’s going on. ✝️
@@cheerwhiner7829... first. Nobody has been there the entire time, and I have been at 7day concerts and week long Missions and Apologetics conferences, 11 day mission trips where we slept a few hours a night and someone was always up worshiping and praying...
But yes... that is still supernatural, but it doesnt make it a "revival"... it makes it CHURCH in a real way.
My question- How do I help my 25 year old son to understand that the Bible is the Word of God. He believes there is a God but he also belives/ insists that the Bible was written and printed by man. He dont believe in " God inspired".
Pastor your input/ advice will be greatly appreciated.
Why is this a question????? God is moving on the hearts who are hungry and HE is feeding them.
I don’t care if only one person came out of there with a real relationship with Christ. I have seen so many throwing their opinion if it real or not. Sounds like a bunch of Pharisees.
“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”

The 1970 Asbury Revival resulted in the "Jesus Revelation" movement. What will today's revival lead to? This could be the beginninng of a new movement by God.
It began on Feb 8th.
We should not presume to judge what happened at Asbury. God will reveal whether it was of Him or not in His time as He did with the Day of Pentecost
I also watched some of the videos and never did hear the Word of God preached, the Bible kjv talks about a familiar Spirit. I know folks who will pay to go hear gospel singing but would never go to a church where they know the Word of God is being preached. The songs i hear them sing never mentions the Blood of Jesus, the cross or that place where Jesus is.
Maybe i said too much but i think i am a pretty good fruit inspector.
Paul uses the phrase God our Savior several times in the New Testament so it's not only an Old Testament concept.
Seek God.
Yes it is.
Much missed in all this revival reporting is: Asbury had a miny-revival back in 2006, which lasted probably 3-5 days.
Sorry I missed the live chat. I just saw this video was out 🙁
If it's real, then the "revival" will spread throughout the world, not locally or regionally.
@@chucklemethis3329 splitting hairs, we can only use the words that we know,

Nothing else matters. Not our religion. Not our judgments. Not our hypocrisy. Nothing.
Watch it wrap itself around this globe 🔥
@@gaylynjeffers7677 I've done some study into the leaders of these "revivals" There doctrine was way off. I believe Kulman was a fraud. Also wigglesworth. Research it with non charismatic sources.
Good evening, around the 21 minute mark you stated no one made made this happen. Are you sure? Some are suggesting Rick Warren and Francis Chan may have had some involvement in making this happen. Orchestrated perhaps
There's no evidence that I know of that would validate that idea. Blessings!
Acts 5 Luke 19
David - hi this is SheldonDickinson- I received an e-mail supposedly from you.
It said it wanted money from me and to send the money to Nigeria. The e-mail said I was being attacked by evil spirits and and "you" would pray for me when I send cash.
Thought you should know.
Thanks for the notification. Lots of imposters out there.
If he wants to know....he'd just go
Lord said, "Don't believe and go don't there, in Matthew 24, for Satan's miracle is an abomination/image that causes desolation.
At first I thought you were the actor Richard Dreyfuss! I heard people driving hours to go to the Revival, but you don't have to that far to have rivial! It's Not special!!!!
If this revival could end this world's misery, maybe...otherwise, its absurd...
So, whats the verdict? Is it real or fake, David?
Mario Murillo has a great blog on Revival .
Just send someone
Remember worship is not for our comfort. Ask God what He wants and give Him that. See Psalm 150.
The Evangelism will come out of this… next
2 Chronicles 7:14
King James Version
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Wake me up when this happens...until then you are in danger of being a self-ascribed prophet....my advice? Talk less pray more.
Out of context scripture ref.
God bless.
Social media has been instrumental in services and revival. Brownsville was a prime example.
People were healed thru, touching their screens.
No it is not
Nope it’s a false revival
The Asbury Revival looks like Woostock, but with mediocre music.
Without repentance
NOT
These people can spend as much time as they want because they don't have to work, they are self -employed, they don't have any mortgage to pay and they don't need any money to feed their children. If this is a spontaneous gathering they are very musically talented because they know all the songs and they can sing in unison. They seam well revived before the gathering and I wonder if some one was orchestrating. How come they sing songs from Hillsong and Bethel? Smells not legit.
