Looking back at this video and realized that Makelele is there....in THAT midfield with Beckham and Zidane. What if he had stayed? Makelele in a midfield pivot with Beckham in a deep playmaker role and Zidane, Figo, Raul and Ronaldo ahead of them would have been amazing. Damn you Florentino...what if?!
