id say dont bother and have a sick time at uni and try get a 2:1. You only really need a 2:1, first doesn't really add much. Not to devalue a first though, its an incredible achievement so if thats what you want to get go for it!
yeah completely fair enough, I'd say that 2nd year was a lot tougher than first but to get a 2:1 in first year is really good because your engagement in the subject is likely to grow so much in second year and you'll find yourself really stepping up your work ethic so to get a 2:1 in 1st year is a great start! What course do you study? As i know courses like law are notoriously hard to break into the first bracket, but if you do a maths based subject its often more common to see people get firsts. Im an economics student and I think around a quarter of people here graduate with a first in econ
