I don't use swatches 🤭. I count the number of rows.

hi. i thought since its 36. it means from 18inch and back 18inch. i thought back and front has to be equal so one doesnt turn out wider than the other? please can you explain why we halfed the front inches from 18 to 9inches

Its 18" front and 18" back for a closed sweater.
I halved to 9" front for an open cardigan as per my illustration
