As always, David, it depends on the wind. As you see, it has a fair pull in a strong wind, but in a light breeze it would have very little. 100lb would probably be a good compromise, anyway.
What line are you using for the cute tadpole?
The video was made five years ago, so I can't remember what I used at the time. The kite needs different line in different winds. In light winds, 100lb would be fine, but in strong winds (and I've flown it in up to 70 km/h) I have used 300lb. There is never one "right" line for a kite.
can the 2sqm version lift anything?
Given enough wind, they certainly can. I have used them when the usual lifters were unable to fly because of strong wind, see: ua-cam.com/video/rNIbNMYf4TA/v-deo.html , but even in a more normal wind they develop good pull and can lift quite well, as you can see briefly here, where a 2m Tadpole lifts a 25ft Centipede very easily: ua-cam.com/video/xnLR8EvY1P4/v-deo.html .

Do you mean sq m? That means square metres and relates to the area of the kite.
