Something that happened to me and to save lots of lives. To pull out the cursor u just need to use the keybind you normally use to open chat. If it doesn't work go to settings, controls, keybinds and change the keybind from the replay mode that uses the same letter as your "open chat" one. For example I had my chat to open on "i" and the position keyframe keybind was also "i" so instead of pulling the cursor it just put a position keyframe. Hope it helped anyone :)

Fyi to all people wanting to use shaders along with replay, Iris works way better and is way more optimized then optifaric. Instalation is easy ask well. Also optifabtic currently crashes minecraft while using fabric loader. Unsure why but it will give you error code 1 and no debug log.
Thank you for these tutorials! I just watched your first one and followed along in my own world. Then I found this newer tutorial and decided to watch it, too. I did learn a couple of new things and more familiarity with the replay mod will hopefully help me when I do a timelapse or animatic for real. :)

just as a note to people, mine did not work after I had followed all of the steps. you MUST add .exe to ALL of the files in the bin folder otherwise it won't work.
Hey, my game is crashing as soon as i try to put shaders on a replay, i use iris shaders, and sodium, byt it gives me an error (code -1) telling me that it failed to render an entity, and then it says something like vertex:normal It's really annoying and I can't use shaders for replays, please help
I keep running into an issue where having Optifine (and OptiFabric) added to the mods folder with the Replay Mod causes the game to crash before launch. If you remove RP Mod, Optifine works with fabric without issue. If you remove Optifine+OptiFabric, Replay Mod works without issue. But they cannot both be active in the mods folder at the same time.. seemingly incompatible. I've checked all version to ensure the downloads are in fact 1.20.4, including Fabric API. Softwares updated and launching the same or corresponding versions. Does Anyone have recommendations for further troubleshooting?
Unfortunately not, it's really annoying tbh, and idk why they still haven't added it. To get around this, before I render out a sequence, I go to my recording software, record it with sound, then later match them up in the editing software. Hope this helped!

Heya ReytGood, First of thanks for the tutorial I missed a LOT during the first attempts at editing, however my problem falls in the rendering side of things. Not sure why but it'll get so far and just freeze, crash the launcher. I've followed a few tutorials, checked a few other rendering options but all end the same with it crashing. Any advice because I'm out of options. I even allocated more Ram to curseforge for it too...

It goes in the same file location that you placed the ffmpeg, just look for a folder named something like render or replay something, or when you render the vid just press "open file location"

I have one problem. My character doesn’t display the animation, it moves but no walking animation. While every other mob in my surrounding does display their animation. How can I solve this?
I found out why you do not need to copy and paste the location in the last step. You just need to download the ffmpeg, put it in the correct location which is just in the .minecraft folder then render. That is a slight messup in the video and I hope this helps anyone who was having trouble because I was.
Hey I wanted to ask, for the properties section mine has a different path and when I pasted it in and added the extra stuff you said to do it says i need to install ffmpeg, but I already did that. The only thing different compared to your video and my pc is the path. Could that be the problem and if so how could I fix it?

I had the same issue and for a while couldn't figure it out. What worked for me is to search Java downloads in Google, go to the java page and simply hit download Java. I've not hand issues since then. Hopefully that'll help for you.
Can you do a video on how to do jump cuts in replay mod. I see youtubers like zayapixel doing these amazing how to build videos, and her jump cuts are slick. No wondering camera path. It's driving me mad. Im missing something for sure.
More than likely, the editing that you're describing are actually done in an external editing software. It would be very easy to take lots of little replays and just cut them all together. A little annoying with having to keep leaving and opening the world but also easier than dealing with silly camera paths that are trying to make nice lines automatically. Hope this helps ^-^

nah I got Iris before OptiFabric like you said and thats the one crashing my game with error code 1

use iris instead, obtifabric currently crashes. remove both optifine and optifabric from mods folder, replace with iris, and it should work fine. :)

I deleted fabric, downloaded every new version (iris, fabric and replay mod) and retryed and it worked !

You prob have to download java 21...
Unfortunately Optifabric and Optifine are not compatiable with the 1.20.4 version of the fabric loader ^^'

uhm,my replays only render the camera movement and dont render the player movement
Getting exit code 1 when I place both optifine jars in the mod folder.

So go to spectate someone, and make sure your in first person pov, and then just press shift to get out of spectating someone
