Hey there Jeremy! Yup - the Highball definitely comes fitted with a 51mm fork offset. Not sure if you're getting confused with the new Blur? That bike does come with the shorter 44mm fork offset, which Santa Cruz spec'd to provide a calmer and more stable front end; singletrackworld.com/2018/03/first-ride-review-santa-cruz-blur-3-cc-xx1-reserve/ ST Wil.
Hey there Richard! I haven't ridden the Highball C, but the only real difference is a little bit of weight. According to Santa Cruz, the stiffness values are the same, and the geometry is identical to the Highball CC frame. So you can expect the ride quality to basically be the same. ST Wil.
I have bought the Highball CS & upgraded the bars to Renthal Carbon 740mm bars & also upgraded the saddle . I have to say my bike is the most comfortable hardtail I've ever ridden & weighs in at 10.5kgs with pedals . & boy it can go ! I'd highly recommend this bike .
Brady Essary it’s a brilliant bike & is highly recommend . If I had extra money I’d put xtr race brakes on . The level tls are ok I’d give them 7/10 , but that’s the only thing I’d change . If you like doing long distances , it’s so comfortable
I appreciate it Richard. I'm a fan of Shimano myself, and have XT's on my ASR along with Saint's on my SB6. I still haven't decided on it or not, but again, thank you!
If you had no idea about any of this and got onto the bike and rode it, would you know? There’s more placebo in bike marketing and design than in homeopathy. Besides this, red coloured bikes are usually faster and purple ones are better for XC, because the type of pigments used in red paint flexes more and gives a more responsive feel. Thats why I always wear 3mm or 6gram/sq cm red socks when on a road bike. Its to do with how light reflects.
This is the one I need!
Is the 70mm stem necessary in your opinion?
How much abuse can that frame handle?
Just wanted to read full review, but your site is not available in Russia. Can you explain why?
Every time we open up our site to Russia we end up spending far too much time fighting off hackers. Sorry.
@@singletrack but why are most other mtb sites are available and do not afraid hackers? I'm sorry but, it sounds like excuse...
Are you sure for the fork offset? Normally it's 44mm

Richard, I'm thinking of getting the CS as well. Are you still enjoying it? Do you have anything negative to say about it (other than the price)?
