Wow, this is kinda cool. We were there sitting over on the right side. That was a great night of music!! Really fun. Now looking to go to Larkin Poe at Eddie's Attic tonight. They are really the best!
@flyingjohn2005 Thank you for your comment, John. It really was a special night. The Lovells are so gracious - a sweet, unassuming and loving family. We hope to eventually replace this audio with a track that was recorded from the board, so check back in another month or two.
Are the Lovells still performing? Reading a footnote and seeing the word final farewell does not sound good. I hope they are still banging out the tunes because they are very good and having young players out there staying the course is what keeps the music alive.
I had barely discovered them when they ended the band. I have looked a a lot of Larkin Poe. A couple of things they have done are great. I'm not a huge fan. But they have achieved their dream of being a successful band.
Rebecca and Megan as Larkin Poe brought me here. I prefer Rebecca’s vocals and guitars and Megan really shines. Their move to blues really let the dogs out.
Yes. Older sis could electrify the fiddle for Larkin Poe like Papa John Creach did with Jefferson Starship. Now though Rebecca is the best vocalist in music today.
Been a Larkin Poe fan for about 5-6 years, saw them in London recently and they were excellent. I've watched a bit of their earlier material and they were obviously always very talented (all three of them)!
all three of these girls are very talented musicians.I play fiddle,Dobro, mandolin and, guitar and its nice to see artists younger than myself doing this well in a genre that most people have brushed off completely and I have to admit I kind of have a crush on Megan....
@TheRealJoshShoe Interesting! Do you have any clue why so very many commentators of Lovell Sisters or Larkin Poe videos confess their affection towards Megan? What might be her secret, her magic or her spell? Is it because she is "the silent one"? Or "the smiling one"?
If I may come in (somewhat belatedly) on these comments, Megan reminds me so much of a young lady I knew some years ago now, who loved playing guitar, and played regularly in Manchester pubs and clubs , but never achieved anything remotely like the success that Megan and Rebecca have. Looks wise though, she was startlingly similar.

It's fair to say Rebecca and Megan, as the main attraction of Larkin Poe, are delivering performances in 2023 that are just sublime to watch
@1966spartan: watch out for Larkin Poe ! Rebecca and Megan went on, doing their own music now, no bluegrass, but equally great music.
Their hair have changed a little but larkin poe is still amazing in 2017!!
Love this band! Hope they invite their sister to play along with them again!

The bleached hair, I suspect. Caused Rebecca to write the song about her.
Cool version on this! Just love all this young talent!
homeschooled
