- Dominick received his new Brother 3700d sewing & embroidery machine on Black Friday for Christmas. I went over to help him set it up and show him the features of the machine. Mother Mindy shares a few bonus tips with you all.

I bought the NQ1700E and love it. didn't need a combo machine. I'm so glad you all love it. love Brothers features on jump stitches.

I bought a Koala Sewing cabinet from Nancy Notions around 1997, and it came with a White sewing machine 2999. Nancy signed it.

I wouldn't dare allow my children to talk to their elders that way, especially to my parents. I'm hoping he was joking
I have a tip remove embroidery unit completely before you starting the sewing side of the machine
We did not purchase an extension table yet and to have better sewing ergonomics and for the fabric to lay flat and not fall off the left side of the machine and drag like you see other home sewers doing, we kept the embroidery unit close to the machine as if it is an extension table.
Study the ISLANDER SEWING DVDs to understand professional sewing ergonomics and proper fabric support when sewing. I am helping to teach him proper sewing right from the start.

@@christophernejman yes actually I learn something regarding the screw driver that tightens the hoop thank you. I now know what you are talking about it makes sense. I plan to upgrade to the Brother Stellaire embroidery sewing machine where you can leave the embroidery unit on while sewing
@@kimlace3875 Before you upgrade do study the Islander Sewing professional sewing methods. Their DVDs are available on their website. It will really help your sewing..
That's one lucky kid. In Canada that machine is $5000 plus tax
Unlike most adults who buy machines and hardly use them and then later get sold in an estate sale by their kids and grandkids, this young man is a prodigy at the sewing machine and uses it.
