@@SPOOKS125 This video reminds me of several America/ England fanfictions, which I have mentioned in some comments.
Rewatching this made me think. Even though America and England are far apart, their history and their bond as brothers will forever remain. England is part of America's history, it's important to remember that. They may fight, but they still love each other, which only shows that they care.

LeanneVlogzFilmz Rebecca Panella Thanks for the explanation and link! I'm behind on the webcomics. The story and explanation almost drove me to tears. I'm guessing America met Davie years before Finland found him and told England and France. In the episodes about Little America, it said that America was England's colony for only about 15-20 years, which would mean that the American Revolution happened 15-20 years after America chose England as his big brother. That is not enough time for Davie to grow up and become a grandfather.
fishy071 Well if the first established colony that the English made in America was 1607 (Jamestown colony), and America claimed independence in 1776 (Declaration of Independence), then that'd be a total of 169 years that America was under British influence. And to be historically accurate, the French occupied the northern section of the Americas (more like where modern day Canada is), while the British took their stake of land a little bit further south, mainly stretching down from New York to Georgia. What I think the comic refers to when Young!America had to make a choice between England and France was the French and Indian War (or the American portion of the 7 years war, for people not in America) where France had interest over America, and the people there had to decide if they were to stay with England, or go over to France. As pretty evident, they fought alongside the British and beat back the French and the Indian tribes, so America chose England, probably just because that's what they were used to and England treated the colonies pretty damn well, considering they gave the colonies their own charters and the ability to make laws in their own areas (they eventually retracted those charters after the colonies started to get in a state of rebellion, but that made a massive uproar in the American people so the charters were redrafted with moderations). Anyways, the dates for the 7 years war here in America was from 1754-1763, so that'd make it a 22-13 year time period where America finalized its choice to choose England over France, which would make a lot more sense with the whole 20-15 years thing that Hidekazu Himaruya was talking about, rather than the whole total time that America was under British rule. So I don't even know what the comics are going off of exactly for that portion of history, but since the comic showed America referring to England as his big brother and all, I'm assuming that despite America choosing England over France, it was showing a time before that decision where England was still America's big brother. Which is kinda complicated. I guess what it mainly was is that America was kinda raised by both England and France until the 7 years war, where France hightailed the hell out of the Americas cause Iggy was having none of his sass :P Just the part where they fought over America passive aggressively was shortened to a massive extent in the comic and anime itself.
Heh, sorry for throwing a lot of history like that XD Just went through APUSH last semester so yeah :P
Asdf Fdsa Thanks for the information! Sorry about my comments... history idiot here. I failed AP US History in high school. History was never my thing, and no matter how many times I go through the same topics, I get confused and have trouble understanding. I'm glad you gave a good explanation. It was easier to understand that than what I read and heard in textbooks and classes.
As we know, "Hetalia" also isn't historically accurate, so I treat it as historical fiction. I did find it strange when America got to choose his big brother because in classes, I learned that the first settlers in America were from England, which made Americans follow English cultures.

Katie Dempsey You mean America is having a change of heart? I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened.
At first, I thought it could take place some time before the World Wars because America and England seemed to be having problems in this video, and America goes to work things out. Their relationship improved through the World Wars, so something like this would not seem to fit from WWII to modern times. However, in the photo album, there were pictures of the Allies as well as America and England together in modern times. This made me think that they probably got into a fight to the point where they weren't speaking, and after some time, America realized that he hurt England, so he goes to apologize.

I'm kind of confused. Is it supposed to be America looking at pictures and having flashbacks about him and England, then realizing how England has always been there for him, and finally going to him to reconcile?

That's what I meant: I thought cowboy America was supposed to be an adult, after Revolutionary America, because according to history, we had the American Revolution, then the westward expansion, and during the expansion we get cowboys and western life. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
