    I just did it!!!! Yay!! I created the binding. I messed up the first try with the scoring. I ran out of paper and I am using a 12 inch sheet. So my husband came over for a quick review of fractions. 2nd try was the charm. Breathe!! I’m going to treat myself to a glass of moscato and a movie and come back to finish the cover first thing tomorrow. Happy 😃 dance!!!

    Thank you for the detailed explanation on the width of the spine. It has always been something I struggled with. Even though I have made several types of minis, I have ended up using a soft spine because the pages just didn't seem to lay the way I wanted them to. Very, very great information.

    Just came across this video today and am shocked I hadn't sooner! Ginger I have been watching your videos and picking up lots of inspiration and tips from them ever since I started scrapbooking/making albums. I always loved how your binding and albums look so smooth and well put together, and that your pages lay relatively flat. There are so many tutorials on UA-cam of this process and I have to say that yours is one of the best. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and sharing it with us all! =)

    I just did made one similar except different measurements... My question for you is when I applied score tape to the back of my hinges it puckered in the back... I did not apply my tape up and down like you did.. I wonder if that makes a big different.. MUST!!

      @mysistersscrapper  10 років тому

      Not sure. But I always apply my tape up and down. I think the hinges work better this way.

Also what type of card stock paper do you use? Could you please tell me what the brand is of the natural colored card stock or where you purchase the card stock from? Any help is appreciated. • @mysistersscrapper

      Debra Prins It’s a teflon bone lifter. You can get them online from Amazon.com or other online retailers.

  • @debraprins1437
    @debraprins1437 5 років тому

    What score tape do you use? And do you feel it holds better than liquid glue?

    • @mysistersscrapper
      @mysistersscrapper  5 років тому

      Debra Prins I use Scor-tape from Scor-Pal. That’s the only brand of double sided adhesive I use. I’m not a big fan of wet glue because it leaves ripples in the paper because it is “wet”. If I have to use a wet glue I use Art Glitter Glue.

    so the last part of the album you make its cardstock? or cardboard? the reason am asking is because what if I wanted to use a colorful page for the front ?

    • @mysistersscrapper
      @mysistersscrapper  8 років тому

      Ummm... Sorry I don't understand what your asking. I make all of my pages from cardstock and then mat the cardstock pages with my design papers. You can wrap your chipboard covers with design paper if you want.

    Please tell me if I am wrong because for some reason Mine does not come out right.. When you start Off you say 1 3/4 then you say 2 1/2 but the blue tick marks is not a half so I'm not sure which is right what ur saying or what ur doing.. Either way Mine just doesent come out right?? Thank You Connie

    • @mysistersscrapper
      @mysistersscrapper  7 років тому +1

      Connie Chappell I just watched the video and not sure where you heard 2-1/2. Anyway you start at 1-3/4 then you go 1/2 inch from that measurement which is 2-1/4, then 2-3/4. Then determine the space you want between your pages. I use 3/8 inch. So your next score mark is 3/8 of an inch from the 2-3/4 score line. The sequence is 1/2, 1/2, 3/8. It takes 2 of the 1/2 inch scorelines to make one hinge.

    • @conniechappell9769
      @conniechappell9769 7 років тому

      Hi .. I have watched the tutorial and you are right. I do not know where I thought I heard you say that? I will tell you this, I have watched SO MANY tutorials on HINGES I think not only am I seeing things wrong I'm hearing them wrong to!! Out of all I have watched I absolutely like your's the best. I am so glad you got back to me and called my attention to that. I still can not get it to come out right, BUT I will not give up until I do, and I will.. Math, Inches in off inches I have never got.. It does not make sense to me. You can tell me all day long Half, Half Three Eights , I don't get it. Now if you were saying one inch one inch and one half inch I would understand. The minute you throw an Eight in their it throws EVERYTHING else off for me..I don't know why it just does. I have stopped and started this thing so many times I really am surprised I have not burned it up. And everytime I start it again I swear I see something different. I just think I am trying so hard to do this is I'm screwing the Whole thing up.. I apologize to you for having to go back and look... Math just does not make sense to me and never has.. Trust me I'm not young. It is something I have never mastered in my life. Maybe that's my problem, when I was young it really did not matter to me, Now That I'm OLD-ER and it does matter I just can not grasp it. But I won't give up I will do it!! Thank You! Connie♥
