The house is coming along beautifully Liliana. I love all the pops of colour so cosy and inviting. Thats what we have done to our house, plain white walls with lots of colourful accessories and pictures etc. What a lovely big garden😍.😊

You need linings for all your curtains if you cross landing with light on every one will see your shadow and you said you need privacy, glad you are back keep blogs and hauls coming

Hello 👋 love your hair 💇! Curtains very Orla Kiely inspired and deffo your style. Don't know how you do it. I've just had 3 weeks of house upside down having a new kitchen. Decorating now and I'm exhausted hubby is too....I'm 65 he's 70 just the doors to paint. I cant imagine having to move it's so stressful so you've done an excellent job moving twice in twelve months and getting your home nice again...well done. Take care, hope the rug settles down xxx

Hi Liliana, with regards to your rug, I had the same problem with mine. I just rolled it up again (in the opposite direction to how I bought it (so the top of the rug on the inner)... I left it for a couple of days and then re-laid it and hey presto.... it was fine. Also regarding your privacy from other gardens, I use the reed or willow fencing (easy to attach to the pre-existing fence (you can even tie it on with wire).... just don't buy very high as it will bend or break over time, but it works a treat to give privacy. Your home is looking lovely and cozy. You're a star. Xx

You might consider peel and stick tile for the side room where the door won’t close. You are doing an amazing job with your home design. It has such a hip, happy vibe.

I bought a wool bkend rug works a lot better after it haop to me and tried all the grips underlay etc

We got our underlay from Dunelm we tried the same ones as you have and failed, but the Dunelm ones are really good and we have had them several years and the rugs do not move. It’s worth a try xx

Hi Liliana. A trick I’ve always used on my new carpets is I put heavy things ( books etc) on the creases and leave them on over night, usually straightens it out.. house is looking nice 🌹

Hi liliana your new home is looking great nice and colourful have you tried turning your rug over for a few days with something heavy on it at night,I did this with my new rug and it worked,but mine was sitting on a wood floor don't know if it would work on carpet x
Just turn the rug over leave it for one week then hopefully it will help ,your home is comming along nicely what a difference it makes with rugs painting on the walls and decor around x

Hi liliana, I had the same problem I baught the underlay like you have then I baught double sided carpet tape put it around the edge it works a treat , the house is coming along you will get there ,love to you all . 😊

You are my favorite you tuber, i also had a rug with the same problem, if you have anything under it it will slide, i got heavy duty rug two sided tape and ran it all around the edges and also on the middle of the rug, that has seemed to work for us

You home is very cozy with modern touches. Your refrigerator/pantry room is greatly improved. With a smaller home it will need to constantly picking up. Your yard is like a big park with all the open space. Maybe you can lay tiles down to create a patio. I think your rug might lay down with more use. Your windows make the house seem bigger as they bring the outside inside.
You’ve done really well cosying up your home, I totally get it that you’re still unpacking and deciding what to use and where to put it, and having to buy more things to make it all work, your garden is a beautiful outside space, I also understand your feelings about privacy, when we lived in quarters in Germany some of the wives loved congregating in the shared outside space, me, I used to sit on my balcony 🤣 we’re all different and that’s fine.

Your style is shining through already in your home! PS: I got some heavy duty two sided tape from Temu and it worked well on the edge of my rug on top of carpet!
You could buy some of those trellis panels from Home Bargains and attach them to your fenced area to block off the view a little and give yourselves a little privacy. You can pull the trellis to adjust the height/length. You have your home looking lovely already. X

I had the same problem with a rug and tried everything apart from nailing it down! It was the main carpet that caused the problem so had to dispense with the rug. It drove us mad. Hope you find a solution soonxxx

Your new color scheme looks great. Perfect for you. What type of fig tree do you have? I am use to the ones with very large leaves.
That is a really good question. I looked it up and I think it’s a weeping fig tree 🤷

Liliana have you tried putting your couch on the edge of your rug , that might hold it in place.
Yes the rug is under the sofa, I think that might be part of the problem

Looking very cozy! Never been able to keep an area rug from sliding when placed on top of wall to wall carpet. I have a question did you find any American sausages that compares to what you eat in the UK? Always wondered what flavor they are in the UK.
No I didn’t, find a comparable sausage. Definitely not the same as Italian sausages. The flavour profile is completely different

WOW!!!! Haven't you had a lot of hair cut off, it really looks good though and suits you perfectly. The house is coming along isnt it itslooking more like "your" house now. Some great solutions to your problems too. Have to say that Im not a fan of the green doors, they are a bit too bright for me lol. Dont you have a lovely big garden too. The painting in Ozzie's room - is it one of Paul's? It is really nice. Shame about the film for the windows, cant you send it back and get a larger one? Hope so because its a brilliant idea. It’s something to do with the pile of the carpet and the backing on the rug it’s the way the pile runs on the carpet I had the same problem in a previous house x
