Yeah....as nice as the red is, the welding and the loose bolts are concerning. Out of 5 stars, I'll give the quality a 2, and that's me being nice 😅

@@dougie041991 i would say that's very likely the ones which failed quality control at the manufacturer for the HR short shifter, the design and the machining seems identical, the weld is probably more of a cosmetic issue than a structural one. if Chris had actually done some research on the real HR shifter he would find the real one actually has the same problem which is normal according to the official installation guide
looks like it's from the manufacturer for the hybrid racing short shifter, even have that little place for the brand plate. the design and build quality seems identical, i found this on ali after i have already bought the HR shifter, could've save me over a hundred bucks but i guess supporting the original is also important.

Install it’s the same as HR shifter. One of the cable need to be push back around 1 inch to work
yeah same goes for the 9th gen si HR SS too. cables need to be push back just a bit
How easy is said 1 inch cable adjustment?

@@ChrisLowpes I put some lithium grease in the shifter..
For science, hybrid racing replica shifters do not work. Better off getting the hybrid racing that does work and actually fits. I’ve used ktuned replica rsx shifters and it broke on me during shifting lol but hey for science it worked for a little bit until it broke
i have the hybrid racing shifter in my GE8 and it has the exact same issue with the cable, HR's official instructions tell you to push the cable toward the firewall to get it to line up to the shifter
You talking about "bull boost's" short shifter? That's the only cheap one I've seen that looks like HR's
actually they will work but require the OEM spacers from the stock shifter under for shifting clearance
@@rayzian exactly, this entire upload was botched. If he had just read instructions from HR and installed properly it'd be in the car now.
