Appreciate the opportunity to talk with somebody as influential as you. I have looked up to you since the beginning of my eBay & Reselling career, so it was truly an honor to get to spend some time with you and chop it up. Thank you for everything you've done for us all. Side note - the title and thumbnail are Drew's choosing, his words, his picture. lol. Not mine! 😁 Thanks again Drew, I appreciate you. Be Great
This guy is so motivational! But I don’t think anyone can make the amount of money he did solely on thrifting anymore, prices are up, people picking in the back, etc
Maybe his exact model then is dead now, but "evolve or go extinct". There is more money in thrifting than ever before, hence the oversaturation. Just gotta find a way to rake more of the chips in play your way. #KeepPushing
Tech has what it takes and will be successful in any avenue he pursues. He is pivoting out of ebay at the perfect time. Ebay is way too saturated and the amount of buyers are down in vintage and prices have fallen way down in vintage. I'd suggest trying one of the not as flooded reselling sites.
He changed his business model to account for that. Going 15 years at number 1 in the most saturated and competitive genre is like saying the Beatles wouldn’t be big today or prime Michael Jordan wouldn’t be able to compete today. It’s wild.
Frank buffalo here big big fan of yours!! Do you think eventually all black shirts will dry rot? I have been selling most of my black and holding/ buying all white! Curious to know your thoughts I consider you one of the kings of vintage!
I can relate to spending $4 as being $25 even in a thrift store-- I might get an excellent deal on product I need, but my 3 year old picks a $15 toy that we can't leave without....
I joined I didn't want to "be dead to you" 🤣, but mainly for the knowledge and an ex-skater myself well I still skate just no tricks I just cruise the old 10'x 30'' Santa Cruz with Bigfoot Wheels make a board a Cadillac soft wheels wish we had those in the 80's and today's bearings

I disagree. He was still doing it, and he could do it again. Takes the right person with the right mindset and knowledge
