11:34 if anyone is curious of the reason why english words are usually pronounced like this is because of the sounds or phonetics they have. Like english has french words but we don't pronouce it the same way the french do. Learning katakana is cool because loan words (which are usually english) are written in it. One Piece is written in katakana (ワンピース [wan piisu])and when read it has the pronunciation that alpha was describing
Hearing Alpha talk about the language barrier follows exactly what the Trash Taste boys have talked about on their podcast. Connor has said similar with knowing mostly what’s going on but if they deviate from the conversation tree he’s completely lost. It’s interesting to hear that that is a common occurrence across different people
Arigato gozaimashita- is what you were looking for I think, but I don't know the "never see you again" part, "gozaimas" is like an "in the present" term of thanking someone for a kindness or thing they're doing for you, like "Thank you for helping me" while they help you, where as adding "mashita" instead at the end is like kind of a past tense formal, for like "Thank you for taking the time to help me with this" I thin it's more common to also use "mashita" suffix when you get off a bus or say an Uber as the task has been completed If that makes any sense. I haven't practiced my Japanese much since taking it for a language in all of High school, and I graduated a long time ago lmao, but I hope that helps. Sorry if I got some details wrong, its kinda hard to explain
Regarding the choppy video - is there a chance the games are trying to play off of some integrated graphics? It's not likely, but when you have both the integrated graphics from the motherboard/cpu and a dedicated video card, it sometimes doesn't register that the game should use the video card instead of the much weaker integrated graphics. It's also important to make sure your Vsync setting and FPS locks are set correctly for doing recordings - capture cards and other screen recorders can sometimes cause dropped frames or FPS dips. Whoever built your PC should be able to help, or a PC builder you're friends with will be able to solve it pretty quickly. Looks like a settings issue and not a hardware issue.
8:49 Casa Bonita is actually opening up again, because Matt Stone and Trey Parker (creators of South Park) bought it and reopened it because they didn’t want their favorite childhood restaurant closed forever
I think I missed every AG video since Alpharad left for Japan because I just found out he went to Japan. And the last video I saw had Alpharad in it so…
They prerecorded a bunch of episodes for AG before he left for Japan so dispite technically being gone, all of the videos posted during that time had Alpha in it.
About that Japan story, something like this happens here in Brazil too. We have our way to pronounce English words when we talk amongst ourselves, even in situations where we know what the correct pronunciation is. And the weirdest part is that if you do pronounce everything correctly, with no Brazilian accent, you just sound like a snob. Like, someone who's trying way too much to be American.
there's different tense politeness and formality levels I believe which is why there's more than one way to end the word thank you this applies to other words too
i think it says something about me that my instinctive japanese utterance isn't "arigato" or "sumimasen" but instead "gomen", like if i imagine bowing and thanking someone i will immediately jump to "gomenasai" instead of "arigato gozaimasu"
When I was in college in 2010, one of my friends was a Japanese exchange student, and he said that people just straight up watch One Piece. It's like American Idol from 2005.
I had a phone a long while ago that always made the shutter sound even on mute. It was terribly obnoxious when when taking photos of pages in a quiet library...
the thing ur talking about at 23 minutes is like "arigatou gozaimasu" vs "arigatou gozaimashita"! its really just a change from present tense from past tense and everything u mentioned is implicit.!!! japanese fiucking rules i lived there for a year. i commented this while drunk so read it as /pos please! :3
Welcome back! Maybe now that you’re back we can play fight party! 237 days and I still stand strong. No time to waste, let’s get playing. Until tomorrow…
Supposedly the Steam port of P5S weirdly performs _worse_ than Switch, not better. At least according to my experience with it being butter-smooth on my toaster of a Switch and all the complaints about it in the Steam reviews

thank you alpharad gold for making us a slideshow about your time in japan!
Let’s go, baby! The next Persona 5 episode!
So many p5 episodes, and we still can’t get a p3 or p4 one. Feels bad man
I can't believe they lost their challenge by playing Persona 5 two times!

Crazy that Altrive got a sequel to the game about him
Honestly the Hawaii Japan thing makes so much sense I get why Lilo and Stitch was so popular in Japan now
Not to mention in Persona 5, they go to Hawaii.
No no, just Stitch. They hated Lilo because they thought she was a brat, that's why Stitch gets a new Japanese family in the anime

Can I be mad that this podcast episode wasn't double it's length
I can’t wait for him to come back from Frankton, New Jersey!
Good to see Jacob back, it wouldn't be the same if they played Naughty Bear for the xbox360 and ps3 without him
We're all rooting for you bro

It was clearly a made up story
I hope they'll be back from New Jersey to post the YIIK: A Postmodern RPG episode!

I like that you can see the buttons change when Jacob unplugs his controller at the end-
The slow-motion effect on this game was incredible
i cant believe theyre finally finishing persona 5
i cant wait for another persona episode to come out after 1 to 2 years
8:03 The stairs from the Joker movie moment
The intro reminds me of one of those meme 3D politician animations
BECAUSE OF THE TRANSITIONS
The Casa Bonita in the show is in Denver. The creators of the show bought it when it shut down during Covid and reopened it.
Good Content! It reminds me of August 17th 2019 at 7:03 am CST!
I can't believe you didn't start with the final boss.
This is strikers, not royal

Gozaimashita is past tense of gozaimasu, so when you say arigatou gozaimashita it's saying thanks for something that has been completed.
