I think CEC Meriden CT didn't deserve to close because this was the first ever Studio C Store you went to and the first ever Studio C Beta you ever witnessed, at least there's still one in Orange CT. :)
I actually am curious about that version of avenger Chuck that appears over the menu at 0:09 and what the origin of that menu with avenger Chuck over it is. Because it’s interesting, I can clearly tell that’s avenger Chuck, but more of a Phase 3 format as that menu design was mostly seen during phase 3. And I wouldn’t put it past CEC to have avenger Chuck in some phase 3 decor given that avenger Chuck was animated in commercials as early as 1997.
@@chuckecheeseshows When time travel is possible, I'd go back in time, if I were you Chris though, I'd probably think about what's the point just going back in time so you can record the show, it wouldn't be original, I would however travel back to Meriden in 2009 when the show did work and when you were older than 4. If I had $10,000, then that's exactaly what I'd do no matter what.
Why would they like a crayon/pencil like 3d printing things on the wall in every phase 2/3/4 store makes no sense what does that relate to Chuck E. Cheese himself? 😂
Basically when the landlord is asking for a rent increase that CEC deems too high, and they decide to just close/relocate instead. Recently, a lot of stores haven't been making enough money to justify renewing expensive leases. Expect to see more closures in 2020 and beyond...
I worked at Meriden CEC from august 2010 to may 2013 when it closes. Age 16 to 18. It was a great first job
On this day, 10 years ago we lost this beautiful phase 3 store!
Crystal lake was like this but they had a alpha and then got phase 5 in 2015 and are undergoing 2.0
Damn! It’s been 10 years ago since Meriden Ct CEC closed down. Time is flying by!
Phase 3 of Chuck E. Cheese was the greatest Chuck E. Cheese era ever.
These days were the best, sucks to see it all go.
Gotta admit this video was very well done Chris! Did an outstanding job! Keep up the good work!
Cool awesome video Chris😊😊
And the tour is cool of the restaurant
Also the party and games and studio C tour is amazing
RIP Chuck E. Cheese's Meriden, CT 2002-2013

At least they closed on a high note, at the tail end of a beautiful era.
Agreed
Unfortunately, CEC hasn't held auctions since like 2007. :/

Ahh man that looked like such a big CEC. They had the old Super Shot basketball and the old Skee Ball which I like better. Such a shame it closed.
It was. Luckily, Supershot is at orange. Skeeball is another story, Though. Some signage & stuff got sold, and is unknown if bought.
:( I miss Meriden
I remember Meriden location I didn't know it closed down
You visited Meriden?
From November 1999 show to March 2000 show

What's leasing issues ?
