Let’s just hope Donatello doesn’t get killed for a 5th time in the comics. For those who don’t know, Image Comics - died twice in the same story, he was killed by Bebop and Rocksteady in IDW, and he was killed in the Last Ronin.

From what I can tell this continuity is continuing, but they might start renumbering the comics after issue 150 to kind of signify the series is going into it's next phase. This also makes some sense because Armageddon Game ended the major story arc of the comic and they'll pretty much be starting off with a clean slate after 150.
Sophie Campbell said on tumblr: "No, the series will continue past 150, don't worry! It'll have a new creative team and there will be new spin-off series and stuff, it's gonna be cool. :D”
So no, they won't start it from #1, they will continue the series, it's just going to get new writers and artists.
They just need to get rid of her. She’s the problem

I really want Raph and Alopex to get back together in future material, or even the final issue.
I at least want them to mend their relationship more as I did like that she finally listened to him after all that drama with her during the Armageddon Game. Though I did find it interesting that future Leo said Raph broke up with Umeko in the last issue. Umeko/Ninjara is being introduced to the comic soon and I hope they handle that well. I really don't want to see a love triangle situation with these 3 characters.

Would be neat to see something similar to what the Last Ronin follow up series is doing. A sort of next Generation short of thing.
This is just the end of the run of the current writer and will be getting picked up by the next writer.

@@Nicola-wd2oe they are kinda right. This particular story arc is ending. Idw renewed their agreement. There will be spin offs of characters and such from the arcs, and most likely a whole new story line will begin.

Yeah its essentially what they have done with a lot of the Star Wars comics over at Marvel.
Like Doctor Aphra for example. She had one series written by Kieron Gillen and that concluded then it got relaunched with no name change just back to #1 but that run was written by Alyssa Wong.
They are doing the same thing here. This run done by Campbell is done and they are relaunching the series with a new #1 and new writer but still continuing on from the last series.
I believe there is a one-shot in the middle called TMNT: Alpha before we get into the relaunch.

Super excited for the new comic book series. Paramount owns everything cannon wise now. That’s gonna mean a lot of things can be used. They’ve done great things so far
I think they should just reboot it. It's already been 13 years since the start of this series. (talking about the idw comic)
I’ll be super disappointed if they stop at #150. I’ve been buying them all since issue #1 and would love for it to keep going. At the very least, mark the new ongoing with legacy issue numbers
Please make the idw series end. I haven't been able to catch up cause they keep going endlessly. This makes me not want keep up. All good things must come to an end
I enjoyed Campbell’s run. Mutant town is a unique turtle story
My guess is that they are going to go in a different direction possibly with the Last Ronin timeline where we will have four new turtles trained by April and Casey daughter Casey Marie Jones and begin that storyline as an introduction to the new tmnt but not exactly that story just a spin on it with a different world and storyline just an evolution of splinter and the four brothers
Excited for this news didn't enjoy the series much after issue 100 maybe i will give the new comics a try
Sad to see the IDW books ending. I'm betting we're get a reboot similar to the new Transformer series going on now currently from the other publisher, but with TMNT in IDWs case.
Also I dont know about anyone else but I'd love to see a live Last Ronin rated R movie in the style of the first TMNT 1990 movie. I'd watch that day one!😃

Well the arc is ending the way they made it sound what I mean by series. The books aren't ending but that doesn't mean the series of this continuity of stories isn't ending. It's normal and happens all the time, this just had a much longer run than most books do.

With the OG brothers being named after Renaissance artist where does Casey Marie get their names from this time?
Also I want live action movie to adapt TMNT #1 as straight up 1:1 as possible. Maybe even in black and white like Zack Snyder's Justice League. 5ft turtles, costumes that look cool and realistic not like 1990 movie.
Yeah but 8 year olds don’t care anything about that so i doubt we’ll ever get something that cool you have to remember this is a children ip. Nickelodeon appreciates. The fact that you a grown adult man enjoys their products but they are not trying to get you they want the kids.

Ive been collecting idw tmnt from day one! Its been a fun series. Campbell is a decent artist but im not a big fan of his writing. Im glad his run is coming to an end.
I really hope Sophie won't be gone for long. Her art is so beautiful.
I'm really excited to check out the new turtle-generation in march! I've already gotten very attached to them, and it'll be fun to see what the writers have planned for them.
She's stepping down as the writer, but she's going to continue being an artist for the comic.

@@TurtleC0mic I agree she's a better artist than writer. Though with Eastman and Waltz backing her for Armageddon Game that did bring the quality back to what it was before she took over. The post Armageddon Game stuff isn't that bad but I can feel a bit of a dip in quality since they aren't helping her with this last bit.
I'd say her run was 50% meh to bad, mostly due to Mutant Town, and 50% good, mostly due to Eastman and Waltz's intervention. I didn't absolutely despise her run like a lot of fans do, but I'm not going to say it was amazing outside of Armageddon Game either. Hopefully the writer who comes after her can do a better job, but I can also see them doing a worse job due to this being IDW. Hopefully Eastman and Waltz can keep the series in check similarly to how they kept Sophie in check.

@@DagmaraDevour Yep. I think she's getting tired of writing the comic especially due to how poorly her run has been received, though I think the latter half of her run was pretty good.
She does intend to continue doing art for the comic and is probably going to be doing it for a side series involving Alopex and Umeko/Ninjara from some of the recent art she's put out.
Tbh, after 100 issues, the IDW run lost its spark. It felt so cool and stuff for the 1st 100 issues but after that it felt like furry Steven universe.
As for the ronin tmnt, I really like them and all. But if they try and make these tmnt the official ones and scrap the OG I’m going to drop the show😭
Man the term "legendary" is completely meaningless now. Campbell's run is divisive and mostly either reviled or tolerated as bad fan fiction.
What a bummer. One of the greatest tmnt iterations ends on an absolute fizzle. There was so much to be done post issue 100 if only they hired a competent writer.
My hope for whatever the next tmnt series was to be was for them to hire a solid writer with an actual vision for a new series, and consistent art. An actual collaborative work between a few people, mainly amd artist and writer....
These publishers can't help themselves for trying.

Again the IDW Turtles are not the Original Turtles, although the concept of them being reincarnated into turtles is interesting, its still not the same!!!. to me this universe is an else-world Universe.
I say Reboot the Franchise!, i hopped off after Issue 50.

The original comics are gritty the last ronin verse is mid as fuck compared to the mirage continuity killing shredder the first go round leonardo being ambushed by the foot the turtles dealing with being virgin incels and the death of zog etc etc
Dang, I was hoping IDW would lose the license.
I wanted to see another publisher get a crack at the title.

Been sick of Campbell's weird self-insert Jennika focus with weird slice of life crap, so I'm glad for the creative change. I just hope the next leg of the journey will be be great! Maybe shifting the story to the point that the turtles are a bit older? Because apart from far future, that would be the unexplored take in all versions so far.
Campbell's run on TMNT was terrible. Nothing but missed potential and dull, drawn out storylines with no payoff. I'm glad she's off the book but I've got no faith in IDW to replace her with someone competent. I was hoping Skybound would get the rights and bring the title back to it's former glory but oh well.
To be honest I was thinking more boom studios, considering their experience with the power rangers crossovers

Hated the mutant mayhem movie and don't like the idea of it as a tv show.
Outside of Beast Wars, I really don't like IDW's TMNT, Transformers, and Sonic especially. I wish they would lose the license. I'm just sick of this company's many comics.
I grew up with Mirage and Image TMNT Comics and i never liked IDW ones. It's a combination of the art style and the story. They look super fragile, I'm guessing they were heavily inpired by 2012 TMNT. I'm not saying 2012 was bad, but that IDW design is just horrible... Just look at them, yuck.

It kinds depends on the artist for the IDW series. In the first few trades, the turtles look different than they did around issue 75. Then everything looked way different after issue 100.

@@bigfan2932 I still don't like IDW story, the reincarnation deal and half the city turning into mutants is just too much. Same thing the yellow female turtle, it's basically "Kirby" all over again. But i did liked the crossovers with Ghostbusters .
