While she was confused with the call, the rookie's argument with the referee didn't result in any change. She picked up her fifth technical foul of the season, meaning she's two technical foul calls away from serving a one-game suspension. Following the match, Fever head coach Christie Sides spoke with the media, sharing her thoughts on Clark flirting with a suspension this late in the season. Sides mentioned that she needs to have a conversation with Clark since the team can't afford to lose the All-Star guard for a game. While she admires Clark's competitiveness, she knows the importance of the rookie in the lineup. "Yeah, no. We’re gonna have a conversation (smiling)," Sides said. "I don’t need Caitlin to sit out a game… she’s just a fiery competitor. I mean, I don’t want to take that away from her."

I have watched basketball for over 60 years and these refs have called technical fouls I never did see? How do you get a technical foul after hitting a 3 pointer? She must have said something to the ref? These people are bound and determined to destroy the WNBA. Women do what they do best, they verbally sound off instead of physical fighting, but nobody gets hurt

So by that logic if the Fever is ranked above the Aces shouldn't Caitlin Clark get MVP.

Fever owner should dispute that last technical, it's excessive, should not be a foul. Let's see the other team lose tons of money if she misses one of the Fever away games. Attendance will go from nearly 20000 to under 10000. Other teams' owner won't be happy with that.

Gronk was being held by his shirt one game and the defender was never flagged. Gronk finally pushed off while being held, he got flagged. He talked with the ref saying he was being held all game, at worst it should be offsetting flags. The ref said your bigger than him and walked away. The same type of thing is probably going on with CC because she's better than the other players.

If/when it comes, she should wear it as a badge of honour. She’ll be back not long after and just shows they can’t stop her. Just a small delay in achieving the inevitable. She’s more important to the W than pretty much anybody, especially officials, and eventually things will change to ensure these silly judgement calls don’t happen again for any player.

WNBA is 7 fouls and then a player gets suspended for next game. That 5th tech was crazy. she's done that through out her carrier and no one has ever said anything Not even a warning. Looking at the foul rules I don’t see how what she did falls under a foul for conduct. She was not addressing her frustration to any player or ref. I think the ref had an agenda and it was to give her a tech. I believe it was a bogus tech and Sides should have questioned it. This is just my own opinion. I heard that Skyler Diggins smith hit the gym floor with her hand after missing a 3 pt shot in the game they played after the Fever game. No tech was called on her. To me that is no different than what Caitlin did.

Caitlin yelled at Refs in-game and they probably saw an opportunity to foul CC. No fouls called on Storm's Skylar Diggins pushing Caitlin. No fouls called on Storm Coach Quinn and/or Storm players yelling/touching Coach Sides. Refs are inconsistent. Flagrant fouls must be dealt with decisively are ignored. Changes/training needed for all.
