His style as a countering power puncher, weight bully is an adaptation to exploit the lack of power in his opponents. This was fully exposed in his fight against Bivol, and somewhat against GGG, the two guys who were just as strong as him but are better boxers. So yeah, talent. Canelo is a good boxer, but there are plenty of better ones, few of whom didn’t choose the easy path. Pacman being one of them.

GGG beat Canelo and got robbed. Canelo then waited for GGG to get old for the final bout. Canelo is a very strong boxer, but his talent level isn’t anywhere near what his fans give him.
Styles make fights. He understands this and has chosen opponents that he knows he would overwhelm with stalking power. His style as a countering power puncher, weight bully is an adaptation to exploit the lack of power in his opponents. This was fully exposed in his fight against Bivol, and somewhat against GGG, the two guys who were just as strong as him but are better boxers.
So yeah, talent. Canelo is a good boxer, but there are plenty of better ones, few of whom didn’t choose the easy path. Pacman being one of them.
Paulie is my guy, and for the most part his analysis is great…. However he’s super bias against Mexican fighters in particular Canelo. If benividez wasn’t a possible opponent to Canelo then he’d be hating him too.

I can agree to disagree with Paulie. At the end we all have opinions. But for him to say Benavidez would destroy Canelo is totally an exaggeration on his part. In my opinion Canelo would actually beat Benavidez by stoppage. Benavidez doesn't fight with any game plan other than throwing alot, intelligence is what he lacks and is why Canelo will beat him.

ok so Benavidez is going to have 10 days after his fight @ 175 to make a choice if he wins he can be the " OFFICIAL MANDATORY " yes official to fight Canelo or winner of the bivol fight ..so he will have 10 days if he choose Canelo mandatory then we can really find out if Canelo will duck Benavidez by giving up his belt but for now Canelo doesn't have to fight him if he doesn't want 2
