And the biggest thing that helped me was to do something I enjoy to fill in my time and distract me from porn (drawing exercise etc) Eventually you will get to once a week and then soon enough you will have stopped completely. I think a lot of guys use the “focusing on myself” perspective as a way to avoid approaching or talking to women. I know i have; you get it in your head that its no big deal and you are after better things in life to pursue then youre 30 and have only been with three girls and no relationships. To be honest, I feel as though it is really difficult to honor the fact that you're a virgin especially when your peers, coworkers, and family members discuss it. You feel a bit left out. And so in order to change that, you work on yourself. I've been on my self improvement journey for over a year and have lost 60 pounds( I still have a belly but I look slim when I put on clothes). First thought. My old group of friends (we were all Jeffrey's in hindsight) used to make fun of me for being a virgin. I lost mine at 16 and last year (I’m 19 now) I’ve come to a similar conclusion. It gets boring after a while, the gratification you get the first time becomes less and less with every other partner you do it with. Everything becomes repetitive and the only exception to this was when you do it with someone you actually have feelings for. The journey is what gets you going, not the reward itself.

And the biggest thing that helped me was to do something I enjoy to fill in my time and distract me from porn (drawing exercise etc) Eventually you will get to once a week and then soon enough you will have stopped completely. DO THIS ROUTINE AT YOUR OWN PACE THOUGH, it doesn’t matter if it takes weeks or months! Just believe you can do it! Ik it sounds corny but it’s the truth. You got this man💯

I think a lot of guys use the “focusing on myself” perspective as a way to avoid approaching or talking to women. I know i have; you get it in your head that its no big deal and you are after better things in life to pursue then youre 30 and have only been with three girls and no relationships. I was never bothered about being a virgin myself either, and when I got into my first long-term relationship & lost my virginity at 20 it only affected my ego insofar as when I told a select group of friends about it they didn’t believe me, and I don’t mean they didn’t believe I’d had sex with my girlfriend, they didn’t believe that was anywhere near the first time I’d had sex as they assumed I’d done it a lot because of how much attention I got from women (I’m not in great shape at the moment, but ~15-20 years ago I used to be what the blackpillers would resentfully call a “Chad lite” & I’m working to get back to that as best I can at 37 now). I’ve not had sex in 20 months now, my most recent relationship ended 17 months ago but the lockdowns & emotional distance ended the physical aspect early; the fact that I’ve not had sex in so long doesn’t actually bother me - much to my own surprise, given how much I used to do it & how big a deal it seemed c. 2005 to 2020 - what does bother me (and I know it shouldn’t, but knowing you shouldn’t feel a certain way & actually not feeling that way are two different things) is how much sex I know my exes are having. Not to romanticise it, but when I had sex with them I “meant it”, it’s clear in hindsight they were just doing it for validation and/or control and/or out of boredom, and that still applies now that they’re with other guys. Many of my exes - even ones who I’m pretty sure never cheated on me - have cheated on the guys they’ve been with since me, and to know that those women will fuck pretty-much anyone *except* me does irk me “on principle”, even though I know I’m not missing-out on much & wouldn’t want to even if they offered 🙄

It gets boring after a while, the gratification you get the first time becomes less and less with every other partner you do it with. I was one of these people Hamza described. I've lost count of how many times I've tried to reach that sexual experience. I saw my status of "virgin" as a disease, an abhorrent error that needed to be corrected as soon as possible. I'm much better now, even though I still am a "virgin".
Practicing abstinence and actively turning the chances away to have meaningless sex with random women did a lot for my mental clarity, my path, and my purpose. It’s hard in this day and age but your future self will thank you for it.
