I'm Swedish and I've never heard of a girl/woman who didn't start getting her period before 20. The trend in Scandinavia is the same as in the rest of the Western world. Both boys and girls are hitting puberty earlier and earlier. Incidentally, I have a 9-year-old son and can say with absolute certainty that 9-year-olds have no sexuality. There are no sexual desires in a child. The definition of the word pedophile is a person who is sexually attracted to children. It has nothing at all to do with whether the girl can get her period or not. A person who is not a pedophile cannot and does not want to have sex with a 9-year-old because he/she is not sexually aroused by a child.

I know what they are talking about Aishe. It is from a book called "Sahih al-Bukhari". In that book you can see a page where Aishe talks about this. And she says that she was playing with toys with her friends at those times. The thing is if you are considered as an adult you can not practise with toys because it is similar to a practise of another relegion which is Idolatry(paganism). But if you are a kid it would be okay because you are just playing. So they know what a kid means. He says that a 10 years old now is different than a 10 years old back then. Honestly! I only had one friend at school who didn't start her period until she was 16 due to low body weight. But everyone else I knew started by 13 or 14 at the latest.
