Today I watched ur lecture for the first time and no cap you're too good sir... I'm really greatful... Thank you💜✨ Disadvantages of multipurpose projects :- ° River beds become rockier, it also affects the aquatic life ° It has changed the cropping pattern. Because of the water availability farmers tend to grow more water intensive and commercial crops which causes salination of soil °It has given rise to environmental programmes like Narmada bachao andolan because tribals get displaced when these dams cause overflow of water. °It also causes inter state disputes frequently. Like the krishna-Godavari dispute and kaveri dispute °it often creates conflicts among People with different wants on uses of water. For eg In Gujarat, Sabarmati basin farmers agitated because high priority of water supply was given to urban areas. °Multi purpose projects often fails in the purposes they are supposed to do. For eg Dams are made to prevent flood but because of dams the chances of flooding has increased even more.
Three Disadvantages of Dams are:- 1)Stops the natural flow of rivers 2)Excessive Sedimentation at the bottom of dams result in poorer aquatic habitats 3)Have made migration difficult for aquatic animals
Sometimes Tribal community have to left their homes It restrictes the natural flow of river and causes flood condition Aquatic life is also affected Deposition of sediment bottom of reservoir due to this the level of water rises up
Effect of Multi purpose project :- ● Excussive sedimentation caused the poor habitat for aquatic life. ● Reservoir submerge the existing vegetation. ● Sedimentation
Disadvantage of dams.. 1. It distroy the aquatic life 2. When we construction a dam many vegetative are distroyed 3. Due to dams floods are also occur...
Disadvantages of multi purpose projects... 1. Dams had disturbed the livelihoods of tribals and aquatic life 2 Dams cause excessive sedimentation [develops rockier stream] in reservoir 3 Dams can also cause floods and earthquakes
Answer: Disadvantages of multipurpose dams are - 1. Affect the life of tribals 2. makes it difficult for aquatic fauna to spawning 3. Cause of environmental movements
Three disadvantages: 1)Discomfort and Sinking livelihood, survival of local communities. 2)Discriminating acess to urban states over rural ones. 3)Improperly planned Dams contribute to more problems rather than solving. 4) Most Dams during heavy rains fail to control the flood.
Disadvantages of multiple purpose project i.e dams are:- 1. Poor sediments flow & excessive sedimentation at the bottom of reservoir 2. Drastic impact on marine life & vegetation 3. Large scale displacement of commoners they had to give up thier livelihood meagre income for greater need of nation & even doesn't get benefits 😢 4. Cropping pattern changed due to which subsistence of land decreased in pj and hr region 5. Dams create conflict b/w people wanting diff uses & benefits from the same water resources ( ex sabarmati basin farmers dispute) 6. Interstate dispute regarding sharing of water for development 7. Finally it's failure in it's the main purpose i.e flood control , they trigger( triggered insaan 😂❤️)flood in Maharashtra ,guj and odisha.. (Sb mene khud likha hai bnake 😌 i am proud of me inta dher sara likh diya 😌😉)
Disadvantage of multipurpose project are :- It causes sedimentation at the bottom of the reservoir. It cause problems to aquatic life by creating barrier in which Aquatic animals cannot crosses the river for food. It causes floods, it also disturbed the life of native people
Disadvantage of multipurpose projects Floods Destruction of aquatic life Daming of flow of river Displacement of people Disturbs natural ecosystem Over sedimentation
Three advantages of multipurpose projects are It destroy the livelihood of many people when it is overloaded * It displaces the tribal community. * It produces huge quantity of sediments in the bottom of the dam which is very dangerous for aquatic animals
Three major disadvantages caused by multipurpose projects.... 1. Dam directly affect the natural flow of which led to difficult in migration of aquatic life. 2. Due to multipurpose projects it causes heavy sedimentation at the place of dam gate. 3. some time due to heavy showering of rain, dams are failed to stop them this causes heavy flood. 4. It also causes Eradication of livelihood of some rural poor people. 5. dams also acquire much space in the rural area so it also take much space of fertile area of land thus means heavy pressure on land..
Three disadvantages are 1) affect natural flow of water 2) affect the spawning of flora and fauna 3) due to multi purpose project many movement occur like tehri dam andolan

Three advantages of multipurpose projects are
It destroy the livelihood of many people when it is overloaded
* It displaces the tribal community.
