    They look pretty good on a stock truck. I went with 35’s and they made a a huge difference on the curb appeal of my truck. Every time I fill up someone asked what all I had to do to get 35’s on it and I tell them they just fit. I did turn my torsion bars up exactly 4 turns to get the lower a arms off of the bump stop the week after I bought it. That actually improved the ride on rough roads quite significantly.

      What is the exact size of your 35?

      @@ericbenzel8676 I have not measured them but the actual size is 35-12.50r20

      That's surprising the bump stops were that close to bottoming out but admittedly I haven't looked under the newer trucks to see just how close the bump stop is to the A arm, had you by any chance added an aftermarket front bumper and winch to your truck that added more front end weight ?. Years back I had cranked up the torsion bars on a truck and the reason was to gain clearance and because of how far I went with the adjusters it caused the truck to ride stiffer which I was aware of being a side effect and also it really threw the alignment out which again I expected and had it realigned. Just curious if you had your alignment checked after the adjustment as it might not hurt to have that done, if its too far out that could cause wear on your expensive tires ... as you know how retarded tire prices are these days, certainly up in Canada where I am.

      @@charlesb4267 I did and it was dead on. I saw a UA-camr telling about the bump stops being so close and he ended up turning his 4 turns. I was skeptical but tried it and it was a improvement.

      @@billylee2312 This is pure speculation but I wonder if the torsion bars experience an initial sag, leaf springs certainly settle in a bit with a little use. Even before the truck gets to its destinations its been either on rail or a vehicle hauler trailer and bound to be some suspension movement although not the same as driving down some of our Canadian pot hole and heaved roads for example. But good to hear you checked it out just to be sure its to spec rather than wish you had later.

    I have the same truck but as a 3500. I did the same thing and only get the same rub as you at full crank. Does not bother me at all and the truck looks better. It's going to be a very rare occasion that you hit a bumb at full crank at high speed. Low speed no worries. She looks good!!!

    How are the 37s working out? Any off roading? Plenty of pavement princess run them, but my truck is off road on uneven terrain every day.

    • @Cruff16
      @Cruff16  12 днів тому

      They are okay, I have a slight vibration from them not being perfectly round (common for china tires) they were pretty good in the snow. Mud I can’t really tell you but for sloppy job sites and pulling trailers they never let me down. If the roads are really causing the truck to flex I would cut the bumper for more clearance. I have 50k km on them now I would say I have 40% left

    Wheel spacers will fix all your rubbing inside, but then you will probably rub your bumper and likley have to do a norcal mod.

    • @Cruff16
      @Cruff16  8 місяців тому

      I like the tucked wheels, no cut bumper for once, truck stays clean for more than a day. For how often and heavy I tow I am not a fan of wheel spacers. If I was someone who drove the truck and never towed maybe I would use spacers

    Have you had any issues since doing this on the tires or truck ?

    • @Cruff16
      @Cruff16  3 місяці тому

      Nothing at all, I have put about 35,000km on since and truck is doing great. The biggest factor is the front end geometry is factory, no additional stress on the front end components. If you crank the keys or level the truck then it adds stress and may cause pre-mature failure of the front end.

    Transamerica tire co had a recall on tires for vehicles over 10,000 gwvr. Predator, Venom power, and Transeagle brands. All made by Shandong Yinboa tyre. Risking a diesel denali is fine if you have good insurance. Risking your life isnt worth the price difference in a quality tire vs those cheapos.

      Trust me, I miss having a clean truck, I am too cheap for a car wash and too busy to wash my hand every day. I used to live on a dirt road and the truck is on a job site every day.

      Nice job ! There is a petrol product out that will really help under truck corrosion - It sprays on
      And I think you spray it every year or so - Not a undercoat stuff , it is just mostly clear and I
      Hear it really works nice . Not a big mess . Cool GMC truck !
