    That's great!! This is the Cannonball Run of St. Anthony so to speak. Although... I'd like to make a couple of suggestions... first, there should be a rule where you must stay on sand as much as possible. Next, I"d like to see a variation where you do time it just from the east end by Red Rock road to the other end of the "main" dune area. Oh, and I wish you didn't have to be an OnX subscriber to see the track. I subbed to them for two years and gave up because the app sucks so bad. I use GaiaGPS instead. Way better IMO.
    I've ridden the far east end and it's pretty fun. It's a great place to go when you camp near Sand Hills.

      I kinda had cannon ball in mind with this. Yah the rules are you stick to the sand, that’s why we need to see a “recorded route and time”. So many people are going to use different apps to track maybe we can take screen shots for people in other apps. I can gather them all and put them all together for people to see each other and compare. Maybe call it the HillBro run or open it up to suggestions on what to call it. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Izac - I enjoyed the video! So I live in SE Idaho but haven't spend much time at the dunes, but would like to. Dune riding vs trail riding is probably like flat land riding vs mountain riding for snowmobiles. Have you thought of doing sort of a tips and tricks video for dune riding? SxS vs quads I'm sure is also quite different since body position doesn't happen in a SxS. Is it better to run in 4wd or 2wd?

    • @HillBroPro
      @HillBroPro  2 місяці тому

      All good questions. So yes I am working on a tips and tricks, I want to do it well but It takes a bit of work to put stuff together.
      So the comparison is pretty good Sleds vs dirt. I would say mountain sledding is a bit more technical. Dunes is mainly just being familiar with the area and keeping momentum without getting over your head. Body position is important more so on a bike not so much a wheeler but still important but nothing near mountain sleds.
      4wd vs 2wd. It depends what your riding. Heavier utility wheelers and SxS do better 4wd. Lighter faster powerful wheelers and SxS usually do better 2wd if you run paddles. I don’t usually run paddles because I ride the trails around the dunes a lot so I am always in 4wd on both my wheeler and SxS.
      If you ever want to give it a try let me know I can help get familiar with the dunes. I don’t care what skill level you’re at or what you drive as long as you want to be out there.
      Thanks for your support

      Either way. I live here so just have set a time. Are you wondering about a straight up race? Or just go for a fun run pushing ourselves comparing the two wheelers maybe seeing if we can beat the previous time?

    How do you keep from getting lost out there?

    • @HillBroPro
      @HillBroPro  Місяць тому +1

      I have a really good sense of direction. I am also very familiar with these dunes and how to read them. If worst comes to worst I have maps on my phone.

      @@HillBroProreally dope video you killed that! so the gps from your phone does work out there! A friend and I are flying from Atlanta to explore the dunes. Are there any safe areas there for beginners?

    • @HillBroPro
      @HillBroPro  Місяць тому +1

      There are plenty of more calm learning spots. But If you are going to the dunes on a busy event weekend and want to see the cool places like Chokecherry or devils bowl then you will be amongst the crowd and will need to be more cautious.
      But even on a busy weekend there are places you can go not run into anyone it just won’t be the common spots.

      @@HillBroPro ok awesome! Any safety tips :)?

    • @HillBroPro
      @HillBroPro  Місяць тому +1

      @Nellychanelle also yes a gps will work out there. A downloaded map on a gps app will work to out of service.
