"Wayne Brady makes Bryant Gumble look like Malcom X" is one of the hardest-hitting lines in comedy history.
Followed by the 'Gangster Wayne' sketch.. I dont care if i live to be 120 years old, it Impossible to watch that without catching stomache cramps from laughter. That Malcom X line hit like a nuclear bomb .. the long pause and then follow up with that sketch was like a SuperNova.
I love it, lol, he gets not just one of them, but both of them in such a short joke.
@@Cookieboy70 he not only get both of them but white people too! Truly a genius joke!
I don't know if Tom Hanks is interested in that project but his son might be
Paul just sitting with those two white women is hilarious. He doesn't even need to say anything, his face 🤣
His stand up and comedy in general was so raw and truthful. Imma miss tf outta him
His bit about the dog at the OJ Simpson trial... I can get late stage dementia and I'll NEVER forget that. 😂
RIP to one of the best to ever do it
To do it to little kids. Depends on who you ask. Richard Pryor son tell you different.
The Stephen King response is hilarious and the way he paused makes it seemed like he did almost say it. 😄 🤣
And to think Paul was just free styling and got it right makes it even more funnier 😂😂
the best was at the end in the extended cut when mooney thought all those questions were scripted but blown away when dave told him, "nope those were all genuine questions. we didnt ask them to say anything."
Patrice O'neal, Charlie Murphy, Paul Mooney. All legends that played a part on the best sketch comedy of all time. R.I.P.
"They took James Brown...then they gave him back" 🤣
RIP
Stuff just flies by like a hurricane with him....you're laughing and catching up.
Kinda disappointed this isn’t uncut, that’s the only way to truly appreciate Mooney’s greatness
RIP Paul Mooney I always loved him on Chappelle Show
I got the whole series on dvd just watched ask a black man yesterday R.I.P
crazy how media barely talked about him passing away. RIP
Hollywood did not F with Mooney. His mouth was his gift and curse. He did things his way (Like Dave way before Dave made it cool) and he was essentially blacklisted but He's so talented he made his presence known without much mainstream support.
You're right. I only found out by a UA-cam thumbnail, other than that haven't heard a peep.
I had no idea he passed, saw this video uploaded 2 days ago and recomended and I thought 'oh no, is Mooney ok?' RIP Mooney.
True. But, to be fair, they also largely ignored the passing of Bill Hicks.
RIP to this legend, "Analyzing White America" is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen
I would see Paul mooney a lot at the off track betting in manhattan ,on 38 st and 7 th ave,,he loved to bet on the horses
When Paul said “they’ll take your show” in true negrodamas fashion”
Facts and thats exactly what happened... we lost a great one... RIP MOONEY
Mr. Mooney knew he was a genius, and he refused to back down. We need him so much more than we had him.
“I get to talking some mess on your show, they’ll take your show, they’ll fix you too” 💎
Between Paul Mooney, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, Robin Williams, George Carlin...I really can't qualify who's the true godfather of stand up comedy. They all are in their own right. Legendary people, Legendary comics and those people alive who were influenced by these late greats have a responsibility to carry the torch.
Robin Harris there was there too, so we SALUTE Paul Mooney. R.I.P. to the O.G'z.
Paul Mooney was the first to put robin williams on TV. He was on the Richard Pryor show which only lasted 4 episodes. That’s how robin got his big break
3:57 the deadpan delivery combined with the random seat folding up was hilarious 😆
3:57 That observation was so funny a ghost had to jump off its seat. RIP Paul, such effortless humor.
The fact that I lived in a time when Paul Mooney and Dave Chapelle overlapped= I am A fortunate being.
I love Negrodamus so much. Growing up in a poor black community he was everything to me. Thank you so much Negrodamus I love you
Throughout his entire career, whenever I'd see Paul Mooney come on TV, I'd always have 2 words to say:
"UH, OH!"
He was essentially right about "them" taking Chappelle's Show
Yeah but the story I remember is Comedy Central offered Dave Chappelle $50M to do Season 3. But Dave Chappelle was burned out from working "20 hours a day" to create the show. Chappelle went on vacation to Africa instead of doing season 3.
@@rational_observer That is an element of what happened but not the whole story or the pertinent part of events. Dave felt that the network was trying to influence the content of the show, and often succeeding. Dave believed that to accept the $50 million was also to accept further network interference, to accept content he opposed. That is, he thought he'd be a sellout. 35 years ago, Jackie Gleason said this about network tactics (paraphrasing here): In the beginning they give you a ton of freedom and a ton of money. Once the performer gets used to the money and to the luxury lifestyle, the network will offer a lot more money with the understanding that the network will assert more editorial control. This boxes the performer in with the dilemma "Take the money and lose control, or lose everything." This is what CC did to Dave. While he didn't see it coming, once it arrived he saw what it was and walked away. He chose his integrity over the cash. By offering such a false choice to Dave, "Take the money and give us the show or you get nothing," they were trying to take Dave's show creatively, and ended up costing his show altogether. In these senses Paul Mooney's prediction was accurate.
I bet there's gonna be a Chappeles show marathon this weekend paying tribute to Mr Mooney.
Rest in peace Paul. I heard of his passing a few days late. Can't believe how many people we're losing man. Just heartbreaking.
He is and will always be “Black Comedy “ truthfully, he was behind all of our icons ! You will always live ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Paul Mooney was the most " underrated " comedian in history. Love u Paul and you will never be forgotten.
How ironic was it that they actually took Dave Chappelle's show and said, "its worth billions but we'll give u millions and btw this show wouldn't be didley squat without you Dave so what do ya say dave"
@@esehfrancismorara191 Wasn’t really ahead of his time. He’s just knows history always repeats itself. Given his age he’s had to of seen and heard a lot.
Eddie Griffin also said that they start with black stars on these new networks and once they create something they cancel ur show and replace it with a show that is "community friendly". U can see how Chappelle show was replaced with K&P and benefited from the following that Dave et al. fought for.
He was so smooth and honest with his comedy...loved him on this show. Rest Easy King👑
The Oprah joke is my fav. Wouldn't that be great.
I believe to this day he did Wayne Brady a solid with that one joke, no lie
Yes. There are lots of people that were introduced to Wayne by that legendary skit.
"Hollywood has Gone to Far"- Paul Mooney. RIP Paul Mooney.
"They'll take your show."
He wasn't lying.
Hand down, one of the funniest black comedians that ever did live. Rest easy Mooney! ❤️👼🏾
His delivery was so cool and hilarious! RIP Paul Mooney
"They'll take this show." Show ends
RIP there will never be another like Paul Mooney, unapologetically unafraid, unintimidated, unwavering, and always always so funny, RIP to a real comedy legend.
Rip paul, you actually answered a lot of my questions. Thanks for sharing your wisdom... And especially your laughter
“Is the camera still on?” 😂
I already miss him... unreal the light he was able to shed on difficult topics. We were lucky to have shared space on the planet with him.
Thank you to Dave for including this legend in his show. I don't understand how he wasn't as big if not bigger than all the greats HE wrote for.
He followed his own beat & wouldnt allow the elites to change his tunes.
RIP,To a Legend of Comedy,you were raw,and real,rest easy Paul Mooney..🌹⚘🌷💐🌺
Saw him at Caroline's in NYC in 2006. Great set, very warm and gracious guy. Thanks for the laughs, Paul!
RIP, PAUL MOONEY!!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME LAUGH WITH YOUR IN- YOUR -FACE BRUTUAL HONESTY AND HUMOUR!!!!
I really feel like by being a stand up fan since I was a kid and watching so many of the legends has truly added to my life and made me a better person. Watching these old skits and stand up routines takes me back to when I watched them the first time much like an old song playing brings up memories of where I was in life. RIP Paul Mooney
One thing you gotta love about Paul Mooney, he was just so unapologetic about who he was. He had no problem telling someone how he really felt and always kept it real
Loved his comedy!!! Rest well Paul!!! I could sit and listen to him for days
Paul Mooney is one of the reasons I love comedy so much. As a Art and Craft. He was such a artist with the way he crafted jokes and dropped knowledge at once
I fell off my chair the first time I heard his Wayne Brady joke. Absolute star
That joke nearly hospitalized me.. the follow up sketch with Wayne Brady nearly Killed me. Absolute Gold.
I love you, I love you, I love you. Thank you for taking away my worries with laughter and realism. He's always got that number one spot In my heart as one of the most phenomenal black comedians that ever touched a mic.
5:55 actually prophetic
RIP to a comedic genius! 🤞🏾❤️
A true Champion of TRUTH! I pray for his family as well his inner circle. All of his statements are true and resonates in the now as well future! Rest in peace - a REAL pioneer!
“Star Jones will do The View and then take off her wig and do the weather. “
That line hits like a MAC truck.
Paul Mooney is the funniest dude. regardless of how uncomfortable he made me. thanks Dave, for giving this genius a platform.
RIP to a very funny man that I grew to love on the Chappelle Show. He was hilarious and I loved him as a comedian. He's one of the comedians that has inspired me to want to try being a comedian like Eddie Murphy, Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, and many others. #rippaulmooney
I am so happy they led this clip compilation with my favorite bit from him! A great man with a great view of American culture!
It’s the quiet confidence for me, that is how you do it
This show put me on to Paul Mooney to the point, I was buying his his stand ups and The Richard Prior show back when I was teenager in the early and mid 2000s. This man was the first person to show me how funny the TRUTH was. Rest in Power 👑
They take everything 😂🥲 Heartbroken for real. One of if not the greatest comic of all time.
They took James Brown, they gave him back 😂
I loved Paul Mooney! He was so smooth and intelligent with his comedy! RIP Mr. Mooney🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I could listen to him break down any subject analytically and expose the truth. Listen to his reading between the lines of current events. Connecting the dots none of us ever would. Or listen to his predictions, the Hollywood news only an insider would be privy to, his perspective unapologetically real on racism, that is hilarious and insightful. I still will hear him in my head at work as a coping strategy for dealing with people's questions. Am I the only person who has fantasies about what Paul Mooney might say to a colleague, client, boss to answer their questions? It's fun.
Paul was one of the BEST and TRUTHFUL comedians we had, he wasn't Scared to TELL IT LIKE IT IS. RIP. 😥🤣🥰
Rip to a great and very funny man Paul Mooney
Rest In Power Mr Mooney ... Thank you for everything .. one of if not the greatest... He was too raw and real.... His genius was unmatched ❤️🙏 love you... "Everybody wanna be a 🤯❤️🤣😥☠️ but nobody wanna be a 🤯🙏🍺☠️ !"

An amazing conscious being who kept it too real for this world...🙌🖤🔥🤘🔥💯👏

Rest In Power Paul Mooney, I loved going to his stand up shows on a late Saturday night. I wouldn't stop laughing 🤣😂 until Monday morning with sore ribs. 🤣🤣
yes he Paul Mooney brought his comic genius and his true talent 👏 to us. A Legend to learn from and about
These wasn't the best of the best of Paul Mooney. Every joke he ever spoken, was the BEST!
RIP brother.🙏🏼
Lol nothing to say about the movie just “they sell drugs out of barbershops” 3:52
What’s dope is that Mooney roasts The Green Mile, Stephen King asks the next question, and then Mooney seamlessly roasts Stephen King 🔥
I learned two things from that: Stephen King likes Paul Mooney’s comedy, and Paul Mooney had no safety 🤣
Oh my I just heard. What a funny man who stood for truth. Rest in Power!
REMEMBERING PAUL GLADNEY
"PAUL MOONEY"
(August 4, 1941 - May 19, 2021)
[08/04/2021]
Paul Mooney man hes a gold of a legend never forgotten.
He predicted Arnold Schwarzenegger divorcing Maria Shriver.
You will not be replaced! RIP, Sir.
