The first item is a cheese and crackers tray. The dome glass is for your cheese ball, the second item you DIY's is a telephone and mail holder, that big screw that was random that you removed holds the rotary telephone. Your work is really cute!! I would suggest only doing two coats, and the sanding wouldn't be as difficult to get your look
My favorite the cheese grater I have a old one that was my mom's, what a way to save something of my mom's and make it gorgeous I'm definitely go to do this I just hope it comes out good , I barely started crafting but love it ♡ . Thanks so much for the idea !
I believe the first piece is a cheese board from a long, long time ago. The block (or round) of cheese goes under the cloche and then you put a variety of crackers (and grapes) on the part where you placed the stencil. What a beautiful transformation you gave all of the thrift flips, Bree! 😍♥
I absolutely LOVE what you did with the cheese grater especially putting a dish towel on the handle of the grater. What a cute idea…… now I gotta do one with my style. I’m super excited
Hi Bree!! I just love how all of your project turned out, the touches of blue really make them unique and beautiful. Thank you so much for the shout-out for my Etsy shop and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to work together❤😁
Hiiii…painting the white on the background of the grater definitely makes it stand out! They turned out gorgeous especially the cheese plate! You are good girl😊
Luv the cheese grader w flowers ...great faux rust job! I got lucky & found a rusty one😊Hub said" what ya need that old thing for" ... well I just showed him ur project! Very pretty💐
Hi Bree, It's a rainy cold day in Virginia and I had to go to work today (2nd Saturday in a row) to work on a field disposal. I have been working on throwing out close to $17,000 worth of car parts. If we do not sell it in a year out it goes and I am such a packrat I hold it up and look at it and think to myself, "I wonder what I make make out of this". I made one cook necklace years ago out of engine oil seals and when I wear it, everyone loves it. I have never watched any videos of the person you collaborated with for this video but I love to make things out of wood so I will check her out. Years ago my grandmother gave me a rusty old grater and I had it for years and the rust looked EXACTLY as your paint job. For years I have been guilty that I threw it out since my grandma passed away. I was moving out of an apartment I resided in for 20 years and after 5 van loads to storage and my mom's house where I was moving to and a few trips to habitat with dishes and my TV and having a disabled leg swell for days I got to the point where I was physically getting sick and I just had to put a large box by the recycling bin of my apartment and load it up for others to take. I threw my cheese grater in there. I have always felt guilty. I have any things my mom gave me thru the years too, not as gifts but when she down sized and one item I gave to a friend who needed one of what I had to hang mugs on the wall. Now since my mom passed away last July I have terrible guilt trips that I gave it to my friend. Recently in a magazine I saw where you turn the accordion style mug peg holder on it's side and somehow fasted wood planks to it to make shelves. I love that idea as I need little shelves now and my friend in her new house has mine. I love that renovated mail slot you made with the upside down thistles. I have a thistle pin I bought in Scotland with a qilt when I was there in 1982 and thistles have become one of my favorite wild flowers. Everything you ALWAYS make I LOVE! Your reclaimed. Cheese board is very cool too. You styled it nice with lemons. Before I close,if you ever want to try the rust method of a mustard color paint and sprinkling on real cinnamon, that works excellent too. Fondly, Rebekah in Virginia
I’ve used the grater for cheese, but in the south, we use them mostly for cabbage for slaw. I love what you did with it! (Wish we could find some of the farmhouse flowers @ our DT!) You did a wonderful job!! 💞
Both of you are Awesome! Love these DiY's ❗ Yes I sure would tell you. Any true friend would! One night my friends and I were walking out of a nice restaurant. Little did I know, I had TP stuck to the back of my shoe, trailing behind me. 😁😭 None noticed until we were right @ the door 🤦♀️
😂😂😂😂 I can’t believe I’m going to take the time to write this out but it’s appropriate and too funny. I am with u girl on if ya girlfriend isn’t honest and won’t call u out when no one else will, she’s an acquaintance, not a friend. My husband played music in the local downtown bar scene lots through my 20’s and 30’s, so as the faithful supporter, I spent a lot of time in bars. My girlfriends would join me usually and one thing we always noticed was this: A group of 3 to 5 girls would come into the bar and one would be wearing something she had no business in, or her hair or makeup or something was out of place, and one of us would just say, “Girls, ummmm, somebody lied.” (We’d look and shake our heads). Because we all knew that meant that before they left the apartment or house or dorm, wherever, that girl said to her friends, “hey, does this look good?” And her “friends” LIED!!!! GIRL THEY LIED!!! And that’s how she got to be in a bar with all of them looking fresh and she looks raggedity! 🤦♀️😂😂😂😂 that’s awful. But that observation led myself and my friends to always be like, “uh huh, I’ve seen u in things I like better” or “that’s just not flattering from all angles” or just say “NO” even if we think be do look good, we keep it real, even if we got to get blunt. 😎that’s how we roll, no fake friends here 😂😂😂😂😂
I absolutely love your creations and I watch Sandra from the Schwowins nest as well. I too am a Canadian 🙂 I love the thistle you use but I cant seem to find it at any of the Dollartree stores in my area. I am finding that there isnt much of a variety of faux flowers in the stores around me. Are they a regularly stocked flower in your area?
Good afternoon Bree, I have a question. What paint brand & details are for the nantucket blue paint you use & live so much. I love it too & can't find it. Help..... please!!!!! Thank you 😊
It’s by folk art! I have the Amazon link for you!! FolkArt Home Decor Chalk Furniture & Craft Paint in Assorted Colors, 8 oz, 36038 Nantucket Blue a.co/d/a6fhYAx
Who had the big idea of changing the names of things that wasn't broken to begin with??? Cheese board & whatnot , whknot's now are called shelf setter but are they still called whatnots if they're no shelf to set them on ? lmao
Why is it a waste?? Lol…I bought it, so I can do what I want with it…lol. And I truly think that it came out beautifully. It isn’t ruined, so please don’t be too distressed…😉❤️

Your 1st day is a cheese board. You put your cheese ball under the dome and the crashers on the plate. It is my favorite by the way.
I'm not into farmhouse but these projects came out 👍❣️ Happy Spring 🌷
The glass dome is for the cheese and the other portion is for crackers, salami, grapes... Whatever you like!
Love all 3 of these DIY's.
Those were all super Bree. Thanks for sharing.
Two of my favorite DIYers in a collab - hooray! I love the tray and the grater!

My favorite us the cheese grader! All are so beautiful!
The 1st item is a Cheese server with a cloche. The vintage ones sell anywhere from $20-$50 US dollars
Beautiful farmhouse thrift flips the repurposed cheese grater is my favorite ❤❤
That was a cute way to repurpose the cheeseboard
Luv the cheese grader w flowers ...great faux rust job! I got lucky & found a rusty one😊Hub said" what ya need that old thing for" ... well I just showed him ur project! Very pretty💐

If you haven't learned as yet, that piece is for serving cheese and crackers and maybe some grapes etc. Just thought you'd like to know.

Sh’wow bluwy 😂
Just found you. Fun ideas!!
I love the cheese board, but I'd like to know how to seal the rub on that's on the dome. I'd like to be able to wash it. Thanks ❤ 😊
Cheese and cracker board, I think.
I absolutely love your creations and I watch Sandra from the Schwowins nest as well. I too am a Canadian 🙂
I love the thistle you use but I cant seem to find it at any of the Dollartree stores in my area. I am finding that there isnt much of a variety of faux flowers in the stores around me. Are they a regularly stocked flower in your area?
