Think about of travelling in a bus from central to airport . For sure we need to switch over 2 busses . That too if AC bus means the fares would be really high

That 70 Rs is due to the fact that chennai metro runs large parts in underground unlike bangalore metro. Cost of building an underground line is 3 times of building an over head line.
By that logic Pakistan with a population of 180 million should be better developed than India with 1.3 billion and even more than USA with 300 million.
