Pikachu has been the mascot of the Pokemon franchise since the very beginning. And like with any popular franchise out there, it’s inevitable that copycats pop up. And Picachu is pretty much the Pokemon that has the most amount of lookalikes without being part of their evolutionary line. But which Pika-Clone do we really think Game Freak did a great job in creating and which one do we wish was either given more thought or omitted from the series altogether?

What is your favorite Pikaclone?
The one that doesn't exist.
Raichu AND Mimikyu
ALSO wasn't sure if Pikachu's Evo did count as a PikaClone
My favorite PikaClone is Pichu

To clarify: I think the pikachu clones are only the ones that check two aspects: being a small electric type rodent and having the same cheek pattern as pikachu. Raichu, marill and mimikyu don´t really count as pikachu clones in my eyes (but more importantly they don´t fit as pikachu clones for one specific trait:
All the Pikachu clones are electric type rodents with the same check pattern as pikachu. But their primary trait is that they´re all pokemon created to represent at least one of the new features/characteristics of the new games:
Gen 2 Pichu - Pokemon breeding (and the concept of pikachu clones to an extend)
Gen 3 Plusle and Minun - double battles
Gen 4 Pachirisu - Gender differences
Gen 5 Emolga - hidden abilities (with emolga being the only pokemon with the hidden ability motor drive at the time)
Dedenne - fairy type
Togedemaru - Z-crystals/totem pokemon
Morpeko - Temporary form change during battle.
Pawmi - The let's go mechanic.
By the way, my favorite is Morpeko. All the galar pokemon have some kind of brittish related inspiration but Morpeko has to be one of the most clever ones. I love the reference to Dr. Jekill and Mr. Hyde in Morpeko´s concept. He is literally a guinea pig with two sides (nice/friendly and aggressive/evil) because the (brittish) character uses himself as a "guinea pig" for his experiment and ends up with two very different personalities.

7. Plusle-Minun : good consept, too similar designs to both each other and pichu
6. Dedenne : chibi- raichu
5. Togedemaru: cute, but not enough
4. Pawmot : breaks the evo-curse on clones but the designs are big disappointments.
3. Morpeko: cool typing and gimmick
2. Pachirisu: cute and different from other family members
1. Emolga: cute and good typing

Having Pachirisu so low on that list is actually criminal
I'm torn between the Pawmot line(since is the first of the Pikaclones to even *have* an evolutionary line outside of Pikachu) and Mimikyu(since it doesn't have the common weakness to Ground-type attack).

Pachirisu is my favorite. Also one of the very few electric types I have ever managed to train fairly well
My favourite would have to be Pawmot. First Pikaclone to evolve since Pikachu itself!

Which Pokemon Would Tinkerbell And Her Friends Would Choose?🤔‐ Tinkerbell, Silvermist, Fawn, Rosetta, Iridessa, Vidia, Periwinkle, and even Zarina from The Pirate Fairy.
My favorite Pikaclone has to be Pachirisu I think it's such a cute squirrel and I really like using it in Legends Arceus and it's cute in the diamond and pearl amine too.

It’s a shame Pawmi’s evolutions are lackluster because Pawmot actually saved my life a lot on my playthrough. Super useful mon for me
Technically, Mimikyuu is not a pika-clone because it doesn't have an electric type.
Mimikyu and Pawmot are my favorite pika-clones
My opinion is apart from Togedemaru and Emolga, the rest of the Pikachu clones should be different skins for Pikachu in Super Smash Bros similar to the koopalings being alt skins for Bowser Jr. Pichu should also be a skin for Pikachu and the only attack that Pikachu would hurt itself with is Volt Tackle/wild charge similar to how the attack in the games causes recoil damage.
Mimikyu needs to take Pichu’s character slot (Pichu still being playable as an alt skin of Pikachu) We have dark Link, Wario, and Wolf. We need to have the anti-Pikachu in Smash so the 2 can battle each other.

🥇Mimikyu;
🥈Pachirisu & Emolga;
🥉Morpeko.
Funny how you praise the Pawmot line's designs when many fans criticized them for looking too "samey". And I agree with them - outside the hair tufts, slightly different colour shades and height increases, they don't look as distinctly different between stages compared to the Pikachu line.

Technically, no. But we added him because everybody loves him.

No, no, no. A pikachu clone should be these three things: one not part of pikachu's family. Two an electric type. Three based on part of a rodent family. So no, Raichu and Pichu don't count, and people need to stop including them as they're not pikachu clones.
Calling Raichu a Pika clone is like someone saying their older brother is their clone.

Given a choice out of all the Pikaclones, I think I’d have to go with Mimikyu.

9. Pawmot - The ugliest pikaclone ever conceived. Having an evolutionary line is cool, but standing up should NOT be an evolution. Plus he stays ugly and boring the whole time. This is a disgrace that needs to be burned at the stake.
8. Pichu - Who cares?
7. Pachirisu - Idk kinda boring but in a nostalgic way.
6. Plusle and Minun - What a low effort copy but they do look like Más y Menos from Teen Titans which warms my heart.
5. Morpeko - Don't get me wrong, I love concept. It's just so ugly.
4. Togedemaru - I love it. It's so cute and round. Looks like a round peanut. Idk, I love it.
3. Dedenne - The first pikaclone to really work for me. He just looks so charming and fluffy. Plus I love everything fairy type. I'm gay.
2. Mimikyu - The concept is everything and the execution is there. Plus he was very strong when I used to play competitive.
