It was great watching Matt using the tractor and feeling the beds so quickly…could watch these videos over and over…Corie & Matt do a great job when you are gone , but we miss you Tipper.
That tractor is amazing, Matt, but so are you. I’m impressed with how you handle getting that scoop in exactly the right spot to make it easier on yourself.
Tipper is really blessed to have you and Corie to carry on while she’s gone.
My wife and I have what we call a "Screen Door Policy". She takes care of everything inside the screen door and I take of everything outside of it. Of course there are some crossover areas. She tells me what she wants or does not want in the vegetable garden and I make it happen. I tell her what color the walls should be and she over rules me!
She doesn't tell me when to cut fire wood and I don't tell her when to clean the bathrooms!
It works for us!
My grandparents garden was eaten by Deer. I remember 1 year she decided if she played a radio it would keep the deer away. So she goes a buys a radio and drop cords to run power out the the garden. Then night came she was excited. The next morning the deer had eaten everything. She was so mad. Pa told her all that she did was provided them music with there meal.😂
Gotcto put up a fence. Chickenwire or woven branches work.
Just love seeing Matt and Corie working on videos together in Tipper’s absence, although she is very much missed. Prayers and hugs to you all and to Grannie too!
Me, too. They're so much fun and so sweet together. Matt loves his girls and it shows. I'll be glad when Tipper and Granny get home, but I'm sure enjoying this right now.

I can remember before my Uncle got a tractor, our family used horses for plowing and everything we did in our gardens as well as the hay and tobacco fields. It was hard work but those horses were a blessing. It took a long time before grandpa would trust the tractor.
I was happy to see the chickens! We hear them occasionally, but don't see them. They were happy to see the chick weed. 😊😊😊

You can get a small wire trash can at the dollar store and bury it in the middle of the garden bed. Then add food scraps and worms into the trash can and it will produce worm castings. Then you won’t run into the food scrap treasures when trying to weed 😊 ❤

Just a tid bit of advice. Snails LOVE beer. We had the same issues with them. We found out that if we put beer in a tin pie plate, they'd just go right in and couldn't get back out. 2 pie tins full the next morning!! Try it.

Tractors are amazing force multipliers! Our tractor has been the best thing we ever bought. We’re not exactly spring chickens so it’s saves us a lot of work. I made my husband sit and watch the part where Matt said Tipper was the Ramrod and he didn’t dare get ahead of himself before she made planting decisions so he would just be the mule and get it done when she made up her mind😂😂😂. I wanted to show him he wasn’t alone.😂😂😂😂. That conversation could have been word for word right here in this household 😂😂. Matt you and Corie are doing a great job. God-timing that you were able to purchase the tractor this year. You didn't know Tipper would be with Granny now, but God did. So, you're able to make easy/short work of moving the compost w/o Tipper's help. Praise God!

Amazing help to have a tractor! It has made it possible to keep up and catch up when the weather has held back a job. Think of all you’ve been able to do in the short time you have had the tractor. Pretty impressive. Tipper will be amazed and smiling a happy smile.

Just got back yesterday after a week in Delaplane Virginia, helping my daughter with her first garden on her new homestead! Worked from can see to can’t see every day:) Loved every minute of it, showing her all the goodness of the earth and the bounty that will follow. Deer, snails & bunny rabbits! I had 3'-4' tall stalks of beautiful oriental lillies blooming in my backyard flower garden in Charlotte, NC. Then one morning, I stared in disbelief at just empty stalks. All my beautiful lillies were gone! Just gone! 😢 We had very few deer around, so I think it was the work of rabbits!! Or, possibly a jealous neighbor. 😮

I have deer problem every year and this Spring, I bought a solar powered gadget with a “shotgun sound and dog visously barking” sound . I‘ve had it set up on a T-post now for a couple days. I’m excited and hopeful that it will scare the eebie geebies out of those darned deer haha I bought this gadget on Amazon for about $25

We are so happy for you! When my sweetie retired from the Marine Corps after 26 years and we moved up to WV to care for his momma and her place, the first thing he did was buy a Massey Ferguson tractor and all the implements, lol! It certainly has made life SO much easier!! ❤

I have all sons, but my sons have given me granddaughters that were really close to ..🌱💜✌🏽
We have to fence in our corn every year, but our problem is raccoons and deer. Deer also will eat every sunflower that comes up. Last year I put plastic Flamingos around the sunflowers because I figured Indiana deer had never seen pink giant birds. It worked! And let me say, what nice people you all are. You encourage and support each other and all of us. I love your family dynamics and your love for all of us.

Watching you & Matt reminds me of me & mine - talking about the garden, laughing about Mama, comparing me to her - then continued conversations about what came from where (the tree)...and coming unfed! Lol. I'm really missing my old man after watching this! We even had a cat that would lurk as we sat & ate an ice cream...My dad passed 2008. What I would give for another minute!
