Went to a ground dig last Sunday…some of swings techniques were special to say the least…either whipped until a cyclone formed behind them, to the pendulum swing where mid point of the swing was a good 8 inches off the ground… quick question, when you do the Thames which is a pit of iron, how do you GB? Bests, Daz
That all sounds pretty standard to me, I wouldn't go on a group dig if you paid me, on the Thames there are small clear spots to be able to ground balance so it's never really a problem
"Nice 'n Sleazy. Nice 'n Sleazy, does it, does it, does it every time". In my "whatever" experience, the only machines that perform better with a ,slightly , "brisker" sweep speed, on clearer ground, are the 19kHz FTPs with 7x11s or 5x10s on. They just do. I still have my old 19 and my 2+: I know them quite well. But soon as you hit trash, esp' site iron, with any machine, "least is most"; right across the spectrum, and "smoother is always groovier" . One US self-professed, "I've been detecting for....." ; "expert", is right off the scale, in my opinion. Shuffling along , madly swiping away like he's battling skeeters and gurning like an old billy master... Metal detecting is a marathon not a sprint.
Hi, Paul! Can you please share the setting you used in this video somehow? I'd like to compare them to mine, as I'm quite new in this machine and think it would be really interesting and helpful. I'm doing really good, as I wrote at the Nexus FB group yesterday, with my 10" 18 kHz and 13", but would like to buy one of the SS coils too. Moreover, it would help me to understand the machine even better, because I'm not 100% sure with some setting. Long and hard think to describe, so even a photo would be a great help 😊
There aren't really any 'settings' as such, it's all very simple, ground balance the machine, because it's a high frequency coil you set the level of disc, I use a few iron nails for this, set it just as the iron tone comes in on the VCO, turn off the meter, make sure VCO is engaged and lower the threshold level so you don't have any unwanted noise and then you're good to go. Concentrate on a nice slow steady swing technique, take your time, don't rush
@@paulwarrenmetaldetecting thanks, all I wonder about is the level od discrimination. I use rusted iron nails to set it by swinging all the sides and turning it up until the signal will be ferrous from every side. It's just a dot before 12 o'clock and I wonder if it isn't too high. But from the other hand with this setting objects bigger then the nails tend to give some nonferrous response sometimes, so it should be fine I think. How about your disc position with this coil? I'm just curious and want to compare how others do it :)
Great idea-plan Paul! One can pretest later discovery Of that Che 3:18 st-o-Silver Or That Gold Nugget which Has eluded Collectors forty Thousand years.. Testing Signal's Before One Does Not PickUp that Ground Signal is Crucial For Success..Enjoy IT! Eh?!

hello Paul, I hope you are well? Thank you again for this valuable advice. I wish you success.
Thank you, I hope you're well and good

Hi Tim I agree my F19 works with a faster swing speed
YES! SWING Speed is Everything Important..

@@bartoszdudek4744 what you'e doing sounds about right, I'm out tomorrow with the V3 I'll film how I set the silver scout up
@@paulwarrenmetaldetecting can't wait for the video then, thank you very much!

Haha they do make me laugh detecting at 100mph, the worst advocate of this kind of looney detecting on youtube is Payfreak Superbullshit lol
