Beautiful! From those great Dagmars to those one of a kind taillights. Last year before independence from the Packard name. Similar to a 55 Mercury, it's competition.
Beautiful! I have a 55 Clipper 4 door show car; marina blue and white, custom seats, door panels and carpet, wide whites, skirts, color match wheels with beauty rings, converted to dual exhaust.
This is a tube radio. You have to let it warm up. No Instant-on here. These cars had a combination oil pimp/vacuum pump, but they proved troublesome, so many disconnected them from the wipers. That's why they are slow. Not sure if you can get a double-action fuel pump for these cars
You have to let those old radios warm up. They had vacuum tubes, not transistors, or solid state, or digital. The wipers operate from the engine vacuum. That's why they are slow. When the engine runs faster, so do the wipers.
You've got my car! Almost! My Clipper Super Panama had power brakes and standard steering. Autolight Generator, Delco-Remy distributor. Two tone black over yellow. If you keep the torsion-level gear box well greased it will last forever. The twin ultramatic transmission if you start of in the upper drive is starts you in 2nd and then shifts to 3rd. that is the sedate mode, if you start off in the lower drive, you've got a rubber shredding jack rabbit start in 1st, then 2nd and then 3rd. Low will shred your rubber too and it will shift into 2nd automatically. My ex-wife conveniently made it disappear and one of the reasons she is my ex. I just stumbled on your channel and subbed.
A real great eye popping car
It certainly looks like a gentleman's car.
That auto royalty. That's a lovely Packard.

My dad had a 1957 Packard Clipper. Had a supercharger. Sorta fast for the day.

Does this car use regular gasoline ( LEADED)? I think it needs premium LEADED FUEL.
