First impressions: this game is pretty and atmospheric af.
Second impressions: wtf are those enemies. that cat and those dogs are insane.
Third impressions: whoa these puzzles are very big brained.
Ah yes such big brain puzzles as "use the mock disc to pull an indiana jones reference."

i think most of the issues you had with this game were just because your brightness is really low, especially the monkey demons, i have no problem seeing them on my monitor

Simple, generic and the entire game looks the same, FAR from beautiful. It looks boring as hell with the same sullen tone of countless other modern Metroidvanias. Also, no music because that takes talent, so they just make yet another "artistic" atmospheric indie game and hope everyone eats it up. Yes, I'm having a bad day.

keep in mind this game was made by one guy over the course of 7 years and is EXTREMELy dense with puzzles and things to find, like easily 40-50 hours worth of content.
plus, he coded the entire game engine from scratch
