Thanks for sharing. I have a couple loose pigments from SG that I never use because I don’t want to deal with the mess but I will definitely try this.

Yeah, it's not fail proof. But I definitely see myself reaching for this more since it's at least in a pan

I don't think this will hold, this is a very flakey formula, reminds me of some of my Tammy Tanuka pigments.
When pressing loose pigments you need some kind of binder, and no alcohol is not a binder. Something like Isopropyl Myristate would work, but you just need the tiniest amount (1 to 2 drops max), else the pigment becomes too wet essentially, and you have to go in with more pigment. Alcohol helps with mixing the eyeshadow completely by wetting it. Hope that helps.

It's so interesting because I know a few people really think Kaleidoscope is pretty so I remember being so surprised Temptalia gave it an F. I think the pigment used the right way is quite marvelous though. But why would there be a binder in it as is since a loose pigment wouldn't need one? Unless I'm just mistaken and most loose pigments have a binder ingredients? Hmm.... I don't know, I'm not sure about how that's looking, I'd probably add a drop or two of something just for my anxiety haha.

It's definitely a misunderstood shadow I feel. Yeah, this one definitely needs some more binder. I was just as shocked to learn that these loose pigments even Contain binding agents in them.

@@KendraMorgan Notoriously Morbid calls their loose pigments "Semi-loose" because they add some binder to it. Like these kaleidoscopes I guess. When I repress those I will add some more binder stuff or alcohol. Or both lol.

That's good to know! Yes, I think they add some binder but not much at all. Definitely not enough for a pressed shadow as you can see from the video.

I wonder if mixing it with alcohol into a slurry and then pressing and letting dry will help it not be as flakey??

Doubtful, I think you'd want to add another drop of binder into a pan full of some alcohol (to keep that one drop from concentrating and globbing up in one section of the flakes) ans then mix up the flakies, then pressed while you've got some moisture to the flakes. Just based on this trial and error.
