May I ask where in kitchener to find a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment with young kids. My husband is applying for Conestoga and the campus where his programme is in Kitchener Downtown. I read bad feedback about the place.
Hi dear, iam planning to join Conestoga college in kitchner in January intake. If you don't mind could you please help me to find out a part time job near to my college, because I am very new there and I don't know any one over there. I was wondering if you sent me a positive reply
Hello Kate lee and Welcome! Yes some people even say, "I live in Kitchener-Waterloo or K-W." because they are side by side basically in the middle of Waterloo Region with Waterloo being a little north. I breakdown Waterloo Region with a nice map at the beginning of this video here 👉 ua-cam.com/video/yaSLRwjIagE/v-deo.html I really hope it helps and again, welcome to Kitchener! Hope you love it! 😃
Hey Eve, glad it helps! Ok so 1 bedrooms (by themselves) are averaging around $1,800 - $1,900 however if you are looking to share accommodation and rent a room you can get much lower.

I haven’t been to Kitchener but Cambridge and Guelph are smaller cities. With more heritage buildings. I love Cambridge and Guelph. Beautiful architecture and main streets with those old buildings. And friendly people. The type that say hello to you on the street when you walk by.
It’s what you make it, like any other place. But as someone who’s lived here off and on over my lifetime, I have to say this place isn’t what it used to be. Maybe I’m too used to the friendlier safer atmosphere of the smaller town I moved from last year...but this place just makes my skin crawl now. It’s really not safe here. It depends how you define quality of life. I won’t be staying.
Need to do more video bro. Great work. Currently in Winnipeg planning to move next year to Kitchener. What are the best areas to look on houses near down town preferred
Really appreciate that man, thank you! Great to hear. Tons of great options near DT. It would depend a little on style of home and price point. If you want, mssg me anytime a few more rough details that you need. Price point, size (# of rooms) etc. and I can give you a good idea of the area that would be best suited. Emails in the description as well as phone # or just comment here if you want, all good! 🙏
Defiantly move uptown Waterloo if you haven’t moved. There’s just as many things to do and it’s like a 5 minute drive down the same road to get to Kitchener. Downtown Kitchener can be a little dangerous, especially the residential areas. Mostly non violent crimes but drug addicts and homeless people are out and about at night. Uptown Waterloo has some gorgeous fully renovated homes. Uptown Waterloo is just a lot safer and cleaner.
@@chrisvassos1869 thanks for this very useful advice bro. I think I should live near the area around UoW and Conestoga. I think you are referring to that area
@@Philosophy824 that is also a fantastic area to live - super safe and quiet. But uptown Waterloo is different. There is a stretch of king street just before Kitchener that is bustling and busy - called uptown. Most happening area in the city. Old, renovated homes - slightly cheaper than homes in subdivision or suburb. North Waterloo - (woolwich, eastbridge, Kiwanis and Carriage crossings) has higher end neighbourhoods. Beechwood is also a EXCELLENT wooded neighbourhood with large family homes right near U of W. Some of the areas surrounding Laurier can be loud and busy (it’s a party school)- but there is undoubtably a lot going on down there. Areas to Avoid: Cameron Heights, parts of Victoria, downtown and the surrounding area. That’s about it. Bridgeport is also a little run down, but has great trails, large, lower income family homes and great outdoor areas - and really it’s just teenage delinquents causing trouble and being loud. Its a safe city, and close to anything. It’s getting extremely expensive though so heads up.
@@chrisvassos1869 thanks a lot brother. This is the most useful information I've got from someone for me in comments. You are a helpful, kind person. God bless you and your family !! Blessings to you for your kind deed. And I'll surely live in that area - Uptown .

Affordable housing.....Ya this video needs to be updated. I hardly consider $1500++/Month Affordable, considering the average person makes 28K a year and half of that is RENT alone.
I'm from Oakville Ontario born and raised I moved to Kitchener and live there for a year I found the people quite rude very racist not very welcoming at all to Outsiders I am Caucasian but my children are biracial and my boyfriend was from the Punjab people were nothing but rude and ignorant 2 me and my children and my boyfriend and we always held our family reunions and bingaman because my father's side of the family was from Kitchener Listowel area totally different lifestyle lovely events in Victoria I lived on Cortland Avenue and it was very convenient to everything I couldn't believe that people were so different from 40 minutes away from my hometown Oakville
