This was my first job, and I actually enjoyed working there. My store was a hybrid between a TJ Maxx and Home Goods. I don't know if things changed, but the boxes didn't come on pallets and the driver unloaded it while a bunch of people helped on the line to sort the product into different bins. I mainly helped prep luggage, furniture, and lamps. All of the managers were extremely nice.
@DavidLK I just got hired as a morning stock associate. The manager in the interview asked me if I wouldn't mind doing cashiering if they need extra help. I told her I would prefer only doing stock instead/recovery, but then told her "But yeah if they need help up front, I could do that. I honestly don't want to do any cashiering at all especially since I heard they are on you about selling credit cards. I don't want to deal with that pressure or stress 😅 Would management be okay with me declining to do the register and just strictly doing stock/fitting room etc? My first day of orientation is on the 27th of this month. Should I call and tell the manager before orientation, or tell her that day.?
@johnnytsunami3558 hey 👋🏽 it went well I got the job.. but the first night I started I noticed the lunch and rest room sanitation was disgusting. And when I asked morning manager I was told if night shift doesn't like it.. clean it... Yup I quit.

yeah not a bad company in my opinion
cool to see another stores backroom, you got a small store too, can’t believe they got just you working on 5 pallets
That a lot of boxes. You are doing good job.
If you’re a backroom associate do they ever have you at the register or doing anything else outside of your own job if understaffed
Yeah they’ll throw you into different sections or cashier just gotta ask management
