Entirely wrong, these insects cost twenty times more than a piece of beef, they don't fill you up and you will keep eating and eating because they are very tasty and soon you will be moving into a poor house.

Entirely accurate actually. The rich intend to have their own traditional farms with a side of abuse via wagu beef. Of course this will be expensive. They want you to starve to death. Wake up@@hieungo8345

    - 0:40 Claiming to "eat less meat" while pushing to eat bugs is as stupid as people saying fish isn't meat or Christians saying beavers are fish. 🙄 "Meat" is when you eat animals, period. From an ethics standpoint, several families eating beef from one cow for a week is less offensive than forcing 250,000 bugs to be born to killed and eaten for the same people. 🤦
    - 1:53 "Replace a whole range of animal-based products" Wow, so you don't consider bugs to be animals? 🤨 Disgusting. 😠
    - Maybe instead of killing more animals, just have fewer humans. 😒 The world is screwed.

Exactly. Sadly capitalism would never allow anything but profit to take precedent over everything else.
FYI, I'm anti government so don't go thinking I'm pro socialism or anything. I'm all for a return to anarchy. Bring back the nomadic barbarians who held city dwellers and empires in check until the iron age. The ideas of private land ownership and capitalism unchecked will be our downfall. Sadly natives and steppe people around the globe had it right 3-10,000 years ago. Nature itself and even violence is meant to keep populations in check. What we are doing is creating a fertile environment for an unsustainable population of urban consumerists. What we need is people to be their own producers not consumers. Bring back barter and trade. There are solutions to this, even solutions that would allow capitalism to still exist but on a smaller scale. There needs to be an equally viable barter trade network to hold capitalism in check. It's actually ironic that capitalism operates under the principle that healthy competition is needed yet capitalism itself has no competition. Unfortunately these ideas will never be implemented because we live in a corporate controlled world. The globalists corporatocracy has won for now, our only hope is after the next extinction event we build back smarter.

They're calling it a meat alternative, but insects are still living creatures, animals technically. It might be an alternative to animal agriculture, but people choosing not to eat meat because they don't want to eat animals will not be eating insects either!

At this scale it's like saying it's immoral to eat bread because of the yeast that die. They're not sentient and even the most hardcore vegan has to draw the line somewhere

I look forward to these emerging technologies. Food, protein, and nutritional security is a rapidly growing concern, and in light of climate effects on agriculture, the robustness brought about by food diversity will be key to future wellness.
