It’s called business. Durk gets paid to co-sign Von. it’s nothing new just a standard artist co-sign venture deal.

It just means he signed his own deal that made sense to him. His deal probably offered him more money and support than what OTF could give him. Even when Sosa signed the Interscope deal and started his Glo label, Durk and Reese signed their own separate Def Jam deals. It doesn't mean they weren't cool. Sometimes you have to go the business way that makes sense to you.

If you’re not my personal homie and I feel no obligation to look out for you cause I got to put my family and people in the best situation to eat, I’m not helping out with the deal. But if you’re my homie and I want to see you win too, knowing what I know about music business.. I wouldn’t sign you, cause that’s me basically taking from you and making money off you, and you basically become a pawn of the business. I would earn “X” amount of money off your name, but after Von turned down Durk, he paid for Von’s managers to find him the best deal possible while making sure Von owns his Masters to all his music.
