Richard Ellis is one of my favorite authors, it’s such a pleasure to hear someone else recommend him! Thank you for giving the viewers some great choices to chew on 😁
Right Steve , you have just created a shoal of collectable books. There will be a rush on all the Sunday opening secondhand bookshops tomorrow. Now that us being an influencer! I can just imagine bemused shopkeepers scratching their heads and asking themselves where the rush for shark novels appeared from.
Great idea! I actually haven’t read anything about Sharks. This is also the perfect opportunity to say that there’s definitely still interest for a Western Canon Starter kit part II 😉 Also I’m wondering if you could recommend a good work to begin learning about the Romanovs? I’m not sure where to start. Will probably send you an email if you don’t see the comment 😊 Greetings from Norway! Thanks for endless bookcontent!
When I read or watch JAWS I am magically back to my childhood. Just like only one year later I forever think of Barbara Streisand as Esther Hoffman Howard.
One of my high school friends who surfed most mornings before school almost lost his life from a local shark-not too long after the 5-year run of Jaws in our hometown movie theater.
Awesome list. The books on the 1916 attacks seem very interesting. As well as Hunger. Out of curiosity what tech are you using to show the covers? Is that an IPad?
Hoping to Visit the Film locations on Martha’s Vineyard one day. There many Jaws tours on you tube. I surf that Jersey Shore area. Spring Lake and Manasquan.
Thank you for pandering to the masses, we appreciate our all-knowing leader giving all us imaginary booktube friends exactly what we want (unlike Disney)
The huge majority of shark attacks in the last 70 years have been on scuba divers! Sharks are not "harmless" if you're deliberately swimming where they hunt for food!
I was in charge of the bullshark tour guide dives in Cozumel for a year and I guarantee it was the divers fault in every single case. Unfortunately getting a diver certification is way too easy, and the oceans are crowded with people that have no buoyancy control and even less notions of underwater behavioral standards
One of these days I'm going to have to actually read 'Jaws'! Great video Steve. (Deep Blue Sea...ordered)

What an incredible list! Thank you Steve! I am also fascinated (and terrified) of sharks. 🦈

We may not always get the Steve video we need but the one we deserve...
Much like Close to Shore and 12 Days of Terror, a second Megalon novel came out pretty much the same time as Meg -- Extinct by Charles Wilson.

I remember quite liking that Jaws 2 novel 🤷🏻♂️
"Is anyone here a marine biologist?!"
😂

Hahaha, only you would make such video. I needed this!

Thank you, Steve. You follow your duty better than that hussy freelancer writing for you, being both 28 and all.
Excellent!
Why not do an event like sharktember! Reding shark books all month.
I can provide you with a list of all the Starter Kits you've done...
Steve, what did you think of the Meg movie?
I'm always amazed at the depth of your knowledge Steve.
As a Scuba diver I can say that they’re harmless as long as you stay away from the surface!

A Russian boy was mauled by a tiger shark in the Red Sea last summer
Jaws? Jaws. Really? Jaws. The novel. Not the movie. God help us.
Listen. What, pray tell, is the shark a metaphor for?
