i got excited when i saw the whitewatering part, but then it appears to be chill like the other maps. i really wish that we could get a full multiplayer whitewater rafting game. that would be epic!
The white water rapids part is really good but it is 2 short. I think this is what VR is about emerging u Into another world. It’s not just about gaming. I’m actually thinking of getting a kayak or a paddle board now. this game made me want to do that so the Vr experience actually encouraged me to get out more 😉
This is well worth the money, These devs have created something amazing to experience in VR! now we need more whitewater environments, you've spoiled us now! lol
You know what game we need? We need a jet ski VR game where you can explore real lakes rivers and oceans across the world. It would be nice to be in the Atlantic Ocean leaving from Florida to the Bahamas on a jet ski or boat lol
I saw your video and immediately bought and downloaded for the Quest 3, absolutely amazing experience, more of a simulator rather than a game. My top VR title.
I don't normally make comments but the kayak team absolutely smashed it out the park with this new update!!! please please can we have more maps like this at different locations i don't care how much they cost its just nice to have decent graphics like we should be getting not like 80% of psvr2 games which are really bad !!
Well this is an exceptional/one of the most exceptional high fidelity games/experiences - and it not having other kinds of systems/mechanics/designs included like other games (which would use up resources to have at the cost of some visual fidelity) makes it easier and more possible to focus on/have it’s most high fidelity visuals. Kayak is one of the most high fidelity games, others such as with DFR get up their along with being games with higher end fidelity also, but other games with not quite as high still can be fine enough and enjoyable enough too.
As a kayaking instructor I'd love to give this a go, I wonder is it sim like. Can you angle the paddles and do different strokes and stuff. Or is it just up and down up and down with no rotation of the controller like you'd have to in real life
I was just about to buy the full game but then watched another video saying its coming onto premium on the 18th so ill just get the dlc. Glad i see the video before i did.
Love this game and was looking forward to new content! I'm definitely picking it up (a little disappointed that it's not free, but don't mind supporting the devs as it seems like a smaller studio)!
I haven't picked this up on PSVR2 yet. But guess what! Kayak VR is coming to PS PLUS PREMIUM on 18 June as part of the Premium game catalog! So will definitely be checking it out!
This is not going to sell headsets it's pretty much 20 mins and done, compared to a game like gt7 100's of hours and free DLC, very surprised that they charged for this.
Man, where are the great white kayak biting sharks when you need them? Guess we'll have to wait for Subside's shark cage mode to fill the Shark Encounter-void from PSVR1's PSVR Worlds Ocean Descent. :P
i haven’t cause i’m still on quest 2 but it’s i title i been looking at since it released and vr youtubers started playing it. It’s definitely something i’ve been wanting to play.
@@GAMERTAGVR Kayak VR is still slightly better graphically, but Whitewater VR still holds its own, looks great, and is much more exciting. Using your upper body to lean into the turns also helps to keep your momentum and speed going. Overall, I definitely prefer Whitewater VR, and the 5 locations all look great. It was also made by just one dev. You should honestly give it a shot, and maybe even a review. I think you'd like it. 😃
You need to attach your controllers to a broom handle and put your feet up on another chair for full immersion. There is even a setting to have your controllers on a stick. 😜👍🏼
I haven't picked this up yet because as positive as the reviews for it on Steam are, their average play time is like 2 hours. I appreciate how good it looks though. It's probably a fun one to show friends who never play VR

ust gave this a spin, and it's pretty awesome, a nice long ride it is too! Sadly it did crash near the end, so I'll have to give it another try later on. The game is still a little glitchy on PCVR., but when it works, it's awesome! Can't wait for all the other white water environments :)

@@Thezuule1 I spend £10 in the supermarket on literally buying only a few bits, so for £7 to have a few hours experience with some really amazing moments is well worth it

Unfortunately dude I don’t think the Quest 3 could do this level of graphics. I’m sure everything else could be done and maybe a downgrade visually could make it happen but that’s really a dev skill issue. After Red Matter 2 on Quest 3 nothing is impossible… but this might be a stretch to far
I bought this DLC, but feel disappointed with how all over the shop it feels. There's pop-in all over the place and the water is tremendously glitchy. It looks awful near rock edges as it just disappears and looks polygonal and split into sections. They need to iron the new content out if they wish to keep selling DLC!
Man, kind of a tough sell. It's not a lot of money but still. For what you paid for the game, plus this, you hope for more than just one map that has one cool white water part but otherwise it's the same as all the other maps
I think I have a very different definition for stunning and insane. 20 mins spent on it today and doubt I'll spend much more time in it. I've done a fair bit of real kayaking and something is just off with how it controls in the "white water" in quotes as it's not really that much white water compared to that quest game I saw a few weeks back, this was pretty underwhelming and def not worth the $12 it cost in NZ. Also a lot more L.O.D pop in especially on shadows and sunlight than any of the other levels.
