Great tutorial. I've been practicing these, and my mantra is "push, stride, hawk, cross, push, stride, hawk, cross ". Suppose you are spinning to the right, the 1st step is a t-push onto your right skate on the inside edge, the next step is a stride onto the left skate on the outside edge, the next step is a forward-to-backward mohawk transition opening onto the right skate which will be on its outside edge (an outside mohawk) rolling back, and the last step is a single backward cross over step with left crossing over right (underpush optional), then t-push onto the right to start again. So "push stride hawk cross" is what I say... I actually say the words right now... hopefully that goes away when I get better. I hope this helps my backward crossovers since I don't really have space to practice them on nice surface.
This is an excellent way to learn the move as well. I’ve seen Asha from Skate Fresh teach it this way and it seems like a nice and simple way to learn it, especially if you’re struggling to get the hang of it.
Wow! You guys are awesome!! Skating 7 years and have not leveled up much. But I just really friggin love it. I’m going to try to side skate after watching this💖 Love those purple skates too!! 🙌💜
Deez Skates thank you!! I tried that side skating. Very hard!! And oddly it felt really really great on my hips. TMI but I was born with metatarsus. So that pose is possible but very zoning concentration-wise. Thanks for your encouragement!! Do you guys have IG as well? I heart skate videos 🙂🤗
Love this beat video I found for inatructions, preamble short Nd to the point and audio over layed on video makes it easy watching. Nailed heal toe 2 step today! Need more hours and then next step in the movement.
This is bananas... I am a skate fledging (3 months). What are the prerequisites for learning this? It looks pretty cool... I am still learning how to stop without my heel brake and can't balance on 1 foot yet...
I would say, that it’s best to attempt this move after you’re able to skate forward and backward on both feet, one foot, and cross over forward ad backward. Go at your own pace. You will get there!
more detail om the travelling in a circle would have been nice my feet get all muddled up and drag alot when i try t turn i also loose my momentum and stop . perfect practice makes perfect . so i dont wanna practice wrong right ? keep up the good work love your vids
@@DeezSkates *update* i tried the move on quads and it much easirer(like most tricks) after comparing the feel i was able to nail it when i tried on inlines thanks guys
Awesome directions Mad skill in tutorial Quick questions what wheel size and durometer were the quads? What wheel size and durometer were the inlines(they looked like 100s can’t be sure)? Live long and prosper bro 🖖🏻
Sir, could you maybe suggest a rollerblade for me ? I started quad skating 1 year ago but I already feel comfortable forward backward crossing turning sideways almost everything instead of barrelroll and pipes. Now I want to step into the new field of rollerblades. I have small feet and want to do all the same things like i do on quads. My only concern is comfort (no pressure zones)...
Really enjoyed this tutorial a lot! As very much a beginning inline skater the barrel roll is weirdly one of the moves i feel fairly comfortable with, but now i have a lot points to improve and practice (yeah homework) thank you ! Question would it be better to practice this in a rockered or a flat setup so train my edges ? Total sidenote, Loving the leather jacket, looks really good.
How does this transfer to mobility while actually skating? For example, if the mowhawk helps you transition from front to back and back to front, what would this help with? Or, is it perhaps just a nice dance move ;) ?
Emmanuel Rodriguez This trains the transfer of weight between all points of your edges and teaches advanced transitions. If you look closely, doing this move requires gliding forward and backward on one foot at different times, and a backward crossover transition.
I am trying to mix a barrel roll and a snake walking ..... It was two weeks when I started this step..I really had fucked up ..I broke one of my fingers, lost one of my teeth, and injured my knee, in addition to scratches and cuts. So I really really fucked up ......... but it is worth it
the plate looked like a powerdyne reactor pro to me, though the holes are a bit further apart. Then I found the video on his channel: "Comparing Inline and Ice Skates to Quad Skates"and it is a powerdyne reactor plate but not sure which model exactly..but the wheels do look like radar halo 88.
I thought your wheels looked like my Radar Prestos (88a) but on closer look could tell they're Radar Halos. Great wheels on smooth concrete or wet, smooth bitumen
Hey! Thanks for letting me know! That video was amended and reuploaded. This link should work for you. I’ll fix in the description also. ua-cam.com/video/m0DYu_WL3FI/v-deo.html
When showing these tricks turn around 180 degree, with your back towards the viewer, otherwise your left leg is on the right side and it's much harder to imitate.
This is the most wholesome bro content I’ve ever seen
he has best tutorials very thorough
His break downs are awesome! And he thinks of every aspect!
I've been trying to do this drill for two years but with little success. This video is a God sent! Thank you!
Glad you liked it! Stay around for the sequel. I’ll be making a part two to help clean up the movement.
Roller skater here, just discovered your channel today, can't wait to finally try barrell rolls!!!!
Yup I can definitely see how I need to practice that mohawk before I'd even attempt this..
Nice skating man, as always
You can add a cross under for extra style and difficulty.

Thanks a lot man. Great tutorial- will be watching this with the skates on today :D
Me too
Nice barrel rolls, I'm gonna practice your advice at the ice rink next time. Ty!!
Love this tutorial mate, proper brass tacks stuff. Also its really nice to have some more advanced tutorials instead of beginner stuff for us skaters
I'm just getting back into skating. This is dope!
You just earned a new subscriber
You are so smooth and fast on your feet! Great tutorial and I will be watching this many times to drill it into my head lol. Ty!
This is tough!! Perhaps a chalk outline on the asphalt of what's going on w/ your skates? I get lots easily :)
Awesome, I've never seen this done in a rink. Can't wait to show this off
this helped me SO MUCH!!!! ty

The most helpful video in the world dude cause I skate quad and inline too 🥹🥲🙌🏾
What brand Are Thise purple quad skates you Are wearing👍🏻
Another great vid!
It will work on 4wheeled full rockered setup?
Great tutorial, finding it tricky moving from inline to quad! Gotta ask, what are those quad boots!?
Riedell Solaris from the Riedell Color Lab. 😁
@@DeezSkates cheers. I'm in the UK and looking for my first pair of quads. Reidell Uptown or Supreme Turbo 33 (old Bauer copy)
Thanks!
What skates and wheels are you riding in this video. They are purple, metal frames, blue wheels?
Are the purple skates you're wearing bonts?
very cool, thanks
Is this doable on aggressives?
Seba High Review + comparision with the Powerslide Hardcore Evo Pro please ♥♥♥ Liner vs Non Liner Skates, is there difference?

Ouch! I hope you’re doing better. Be careful and remember not to get in a hurry. Learn one thing at a time well, then put them together.
wow
Can you please tell me your set the Solaris boot is insane (think I found my boot 😀😀)

You can slow it down on a pc :)

Thanks man I didn't think of that cos I was watching it on my phone
with small wheels like 45mm maybe not possible ?
Sure it is. Just have to change up technique to use less edges.

Pls check broo. I can't see the leg movement bcoz of writing. I never lie u broo bcoz I am studying skating by seeing ur video.

Hahahaha broken knees broken knees broken knees . I'm discouraged lol
I have flat skates like this. All I see is skates with the heel.
🤭✌️❤️❤️
I can’t even skate
It would’ve been great if you could show us a bit slower. It’s too fast to understand.
omg nevermind...
Video is good. But can't see it properly bcoz of writing in it. Edit it properly and upload broo.
That’s not editing.. there is no writing in it. Sounds like you forgot to turn off your captions… broo
Would this even work w toe stops in?? Lmao
