Wow, thanks for going back and talking about the beginning. I got to a couple shows you did in DC/Baltimore. I have a hand signed tshirt that I cherish. I think it was at Spice in Baltimore around '94-97. You run the rinseout like no other I've seen, and I have every vinyl record you put out that I know of. I had forgotten about a lot of the artists you called out. From back in the day. Thanks so much for sharing the timeline of your experience. I have twin 5yr olds now, and don't play as much as I used to but I really enjoyed that interview. Big Up djRAP...hold tight.
Great podcasts, thank you, really enjoying them great to hear the positive vibes and laughter, keep them coming, Rap definitely smashes it on the decks, Helter Skelter tape packs were the soundtrack to me and my mates every night when we were youths. 97-98 was some of the best dnb I think, golden era of jump up, reprazenting remix nuff said, safe. Dj Rollcage
@Lewis Dowsett same. Its a special genre d&b and its comforting that the scene you've followed for so many years is still going strong and still made up of so many of the legends you know & admire
@DJ PHANTASY not a clue about new stuff so much anymore tbh mate,my Mrs still goes but I'm retired lol I listen to 97-04 era for the memories mainly raves at rex astoria bagleys etc that I used to go to, I love your podcasts think they are brilliant especially as I grew up listening to you and shabba I'm sure it was a hysteria I see dj rap play at way back then with stevie hyper d on the line up
I remember dancing all night at Nation in Washington DC. I still have my turntables. She made me fall in love with D-n-B. It is my heart beat. I lived in Scotland. Her voice can make me get crazy. She makes me jam alone, but her skills are off the chain.
DJ Rap is the True Jungle Suffragette in this business. For years and years I've been waiting to hear female DJ's and MC's mashing it up and bringing something new to the scene. I'm so happy to see how many there are now, dont get me wrong, I respect all the males who created this sound and the ones who made it and made all the new changes but males have dominated for too long, time for the Female Takeover 🙂 I love you DJ Rap, you rocked me for so many years with your mixing, you are the Original Jungle Don Lady. Really really good interview Thankyou 🔥🔥🔥
I lost my comment. This girl is dope AF. I saw her tear up the decks in 96-97 when I lived in Orlando. Thankyou for all the life inspiration. I just shared "Good to be Alive"/ Learning Curve with a friend, she is RECOVERing in the hospital. She is joining us on the Sober Train. She has 14 days She's a doll, so are you. ✌️x
I love dj Rap she was inspirational when I first went raving in 95. I remember her smiling at me once while I was tearing the shapes to her set and it made my year. She has beauty and talent, was not easy to take on the boys like Randall and groove back in the day. Spiritual Aura is top 10 jungle tunes of all time. True legend
Still say to my mates she had the best set at life utopia elevation back in the sanctuary in 1994... still one of the best raves I've been to in my life.. and she dropped spiritual aura remix for the 1st time... oh my word...!!!
@DJRapOfficial is great to get a proper incite into the scene which you dont get as a bleary eyed raver haha! I've got such an eclectic taste in music yet its only d&b really where I could listen to people talk about it all day. So many styles and has been on such a journey from hardcore & jungle to now. I think you may have alluded to that with coming back to it. It's a special genre and I can't think of another that had that many unique djs (and mcs) tearing it up all over at once. A lot of people say the d&b scene feels like a family & was nice hearing how Frost & Fabio looked out for you
Quality DJ..Whenever you were on lineup years ago when was goin out raving at events you would always tear it up..Saw you in Southampton last year at Jungle mania for first time in years and 👏👏 Top notch..

Shabba is completely in love 🤣🤣🤣 and i don't blame him 😍😍
Music to one side I think generally most humans don't care about much other than themselves let alone a musical scenes
dnb and jungle is different though, foundation built on community so so much respect in this scene yano
@Des its unique. I love so many genres of music but there is something extra special about the d&b & jungle scene
@@des8607 Its the folk music of electronic music
