So Islam submits Oliveira, beats the former p4p #1 Volkanovski twice(one of those wins being a first-round KO), submits Dustin Poirier , and is now going to fight the number 1 contender Arman Tsarukyan who he already beat. But Jon Jones is the P4P #1 because he beat a French kickboxer with 12 fights, after he took 3 years off because he lost to Dominic Reyes who is now ranked #15 at LHW. Makes sense Dana

Jon Jones ducks the legit #1 contender and Interim Champion to fight an old man coming off of a knockout loss, that hasn't won since he beat Daniel Cormier in 2020, because he's terrified of having a fair fight where he doesn't hold some kind of advantage. Whether it's a reach advantage, grappling advantage, or youth advantage. Jon needs to hold some sort of advantage in order to fight someone.

Staph infections can turn deadly if the bacteria invade deeper into the body or enters the bloodstream resulting in fever, joint and muscle pain this is why he didn't throw a single kick in the entire fight + didn't even use his judo once. When Benoit lost to dustin he said it was because of staph but Islam prevailed even when he had staph🎉 amazing man❤

P4P is more of a measure of skill and dominance at a given weight class in comparison to all the weight classes overall without considering size and weight. Based on activity, Islam is more deserving of the ranking, but Islam's résumé doesn't hold a candle to Jon's. He's still got a lot of work to do to reach that level of rarefied air.

My question is: How many elite wrestlers Khabib and Islam have faced on their career, and on the other hand, how lucky they were to face mostly strikers, does it make them pound for pound fighter. Jones hasn’t been good in a decade. His only good performance was the second Gus fight, which coincidentally is the last time he had the “pictogams” in his system and they still let him fight. JJ hasn't been the best for a while now. At 205 Gustafson 1 and Reyes clearly beat him. And he didn't look good against one legged Tiago Santos too.
But at HW Francis was the best and JJ was hiding from him for 3 years till Ngannou left the UFC. And now JJ is openly ducks Aspinal, who clearly is the best. He is not P4P, he used to be the best at 205 a long time ago.
