Livin' the dream...I'm in Nanaimo and after 14 years am just starting to get into fishing here on the island....better late than never right. Learning lots from your show, you should offer charters! Haha
Brendan in Irl is a rlly kind and cool guy! I get to take a pic with him at Vancouver int boat show yesterday at the Feb 3 show! Even get to learn great pacific cod and sablefish techniques with him! Thanks Brendan!!
I love fishing out of Tofino. We always stay at Hot Spring Cove. FYI: There are a lot of uncharted rocks on the ocean side of the cove which become extremely hazardous at extreme low tides. We will stop at Tofino and load up on shaved ice and fuel up then head out to the Hot Springs. We did some black cod fishing out of Sitka with and without electric reels. Definitely prefer electric when fishing down at 1000 feet. There is a fish market in Sitka that sells Black Cod tips. I can snack on those all day long. Pan fried or BBQ. I am glad to see the crab fishery recovering in Tofino. The Otters must have moved on to another area.

Came here from the Kingfisher video!
Shouldn’t use a tape measure
Electric reels 😅 pfft
Ya seems dumb to me as a sport
That’s not how you measure crabs that’s actually hilarious you using a sewing measuring tape
