The Beautiful South did some absolutely beautiful songs, they wouldn’t have been as good as they were without an angelic voice. It’s her vocals that got A Little Time to number one, no doubt in my mind.
@@007beck9@rachaelrehm is right, the band’s attack on the women who appear in glamour magazines was galling to Briana, she had little choice but to leave. Paul Heaton now regrets his actions ( as he also regrets the reason for Jacqui Abbott leaving)
beautiful south's best female vocalist over the years

What an incredible performance
She keeps it all in
She just needed a little time.
Good to know she's still around.
Great voice, great personality
Wish she would have never left The Beautiful South.
💯 per cent agreed
Beautiful woman, beautiful voice
Unique voice -great talent
J´adore sa voix! 💚
Gorgeous gingers, her and Suzanne Vega
Auburn.....that term ginger has been redundant since Luke Kelly Slogged an English hecklett for slogging that term at him
Paul Heaton made a big mistake letting her go, great original voice.
He didn't she chose to leave to do new things
She left because of Paul's sexist remarks towards glamour women in magazines. That's what the song 36D is about
