For context: this movie is called The Truman Show. It’s about a boy who basically lives in a giant filming studio. His entire life is filmed 24/7 to be broadcasted to the world outside of where he lives. He doesn’t realize, however, that everything in his life was staged- from christmases and birthdays to his marriage. It was all acting that lead him to believe it was his actual life. As an adult, he slowly starts noticing how everything seems so fake and how his life is so predictable. He starts to slowly realize that everything *is* fake and eventually begins trying to escape. Go watch it, it’s really good! And while it has humor, it’s actually not a comedy like most of Jim Carrey’s movies.
The acting in this movie is so good. I feel sorry for people who never gave it a chance because Jim Carrey is usually in comedic roles. He was fantastic here
