I’m 32 years old and I am just starting to invest for the first time in my life. I have started contributing to my 401K and opened a Roth IRA with automatic contributions. My question is, does your asset allocation even matter early on, or am I just overthinking this?
There’s a lot to decide on… How much do you want to carry in international, small value, bonds, etc. Most times it is better to just delegate your day-to-day investing to someone of great expertise
Good discussion. Personally REITs ETF used to work for me last time until when i became more experienced and did not want to invest in every other reit like what Thomas has shared. The Joyful Investors are fundamental and technical analysis driven, so they also pick their own reits and buy at certain prices.
Different folks different strokes. Interesting to see Kenny been buying consistently every month while Joyful investors buy very selectively and has gone in big in last month. Kenny also believes seeing the passive income collected alone is enough and purchase price is less important while Hazelle looks at the total returns. A lesson that to each their own when come to investing
