Awesome! Im really impressed. Your erum sound and tuning is quite nice. I hear the drums and tone and over tone rather than over post engineered flat sounds. Your drum roll based drum groove is creative and new. In a world that favours hi hat driven beats you bring marching snare work back into the fold of groove work. Imy favourite moment is the odd grouping figure played on some stack sounding cymbal on your right hand with the keft hand filling ghost notes. That figure is ny favourite and a stand out for me. Your solo is melodic and purposeful. I dont know if you composed it or improvised it but it sounds composed as it sits musically into the piece perfectly. In anycase im a fan of the final result. In shoet, very tasteful drum and cymbal work with a unique groove point. I like this performance a lot!
@@brianmcguire5175 thanks for the awesome comments. I love big open drum sounds, miking the concert toms from underneath really opens them up. These short videos I make have to be finished in 1 hour, that's my only guide line. So whatever I come up with in that hour is what sticks...good or bad. Funny, I started the groove on the hat but the snare sounded so good, it won! The solo section is whatever the track dictates. The odd groupings are definitely in my tool bag! Glad you like those. Thanks for watching!
