I love the banner or pennant look on the zipper pouches. I have made a few zipper pouches of various sizes. Last year I made one for each of my grand nieces and one for my grand nephew for Christmas. I added a small loop with a carabiner on each one and a longer wrist strap for the two for the younger kids. I checked with my sisters to find out their favorite colors, patterns, and images or characters from fabrics in my stash. I added an inside pocket on the inside for a gift card or cash. As my wallet was wearing out, I also made one for myself out of some of the Mickey Mouse fabrics in my stash. However, for mine I added pockets on both sides of the inside for cards, coupons, cash, etc. I have been using mine since last Christmas and it still looks good. I love how easy it is to add various features to zippered coin pouches.
Love those zipper pouches, especially the pink one. I am still sewing 'full size' bunting daily - when finished I'm adding mini-mini bunting to the Hogwarts wall hanging. Thanks for showing how you do it 🤩
Those are so cute Robin. The banner design would make fantastic pencil cases. Time to add another project inspired by you to my list. Will I ever get them all done? 😂
Those really are cute. Also a different look than other pouches out there. To avoid leaving a fusible product under the pennants I would use a product called Liquid Baste. It's essentially a water soluble fabric stabilizer in the form of a glue. It's easier and once washed it's gone. I love it! Thanks for the cool tutorial.
😊😊 I haven't worked too much with zipper pouches yet. I have some clear vinyl I want to use to make some zipper pouches for projects. I found some pretty decorative zippers on Missouri Star and have those in my stash to play with😂😂. I want to maybe make a few cross body bags with decorative zipper showing on outside. 😊😊 Great tutorial as always. Happy Friday and Weekend. 😊😊
Thank you. I love my Oliso project iron. It’s a smaller light weight iron but It gets nice and hot to remove wrinkles and press seams. I use that for smaller projects. I also have the full size Oliso iron. It’s a little weighted but it’s great full larger projects. They are a bit pricey but I saved up and rewarded myself after we moved across the country. A lot of quilters like Rowenta irons. For a less expensive iron I’ve had good luck with black and decker irons.
If anyone else comes across this comment yes the purple pouch has sold but I do have enough fabric to make more or in different colors. The other two pouches are in my Etsy shop. Thanks Ellen for letting me hijack your comment 💜

It would be fun on pencil pouches. How about I sew your to sew list and you sew mine? That way maybe it’ll get done 🤣

Cute
Thanks!
I have only made 1 zipper coin pouch. I think I would like to try a zipper pouch with applique mushrooms, kind of like the pillow I created. Fun
That would be cute 🍄
❤
You are an excellent teacher. I would like to purchase a small iron (hand held) for quilting. Do you have any
recommendations? Thank you!
